We are already halfway through Ramadan 2022 and so far there’s been no dearth of activities so far for families and children. The Holy Month has so far been buzzing with activities of both religious and cultural kinds. Apart from the resuming of the famous Ramadan tents by many hotels, shopping has also taken become a much-enjoyed activity.

Owing to the changed work hours and schedules adjusted around the Ramadan daily calender, most malls and shops now operate until a later time. Ramadan bazaars and night markets have popped up at multiple places in the city, to give shoppers the ultimate Ramadan shopping experience.

Here is a list of Ramadan bazaars and night markets in Qatar that you need to check out this year around:

Bazaar Fereej

The Bazaar Fereej by Al Maraya Exhibition is a great place to check out the latest in ethnic fashion, household tools, carpets, toys, and accessories. Nearly 150  companies and designers have set up stalls here, so you know a trip here would be worth your buck. Make sure to haggle and get the best prices!

Date: March 8 to May 1

 

Family Bazaar at Katara

Family bazaar by Qatar Marketeers claims to be the biggest shopping tent and is being held at Katara. You can check out various household items, perfumes, traditional outfits, abayas, and food items from various countries like Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, China, and Yemen.

 

Place: Southern area, Katara Cultural Village

Timings: 11 am to 3 pm and 7.30 pm to 1 am on weekdays

Fridays: 7.30 pm to 1 am

Date: April 9 to April 30

Mahaseel Souq at Katara

An initiative by the Ministry of Municipality along with Katara Cultural Village Foundation, the Mahaseel festival sheds the limelight on some of the best agricultural and food products in Qatar. The festival is hosting nearly 39 companies and 25 local farms that have put up their produce for sale. If you are looking to stock up on fresh local produce, meat, poultry, farm-fresh honey, eggs, and dates, make sure to drop by here. You can even check out the different plant nurseries here and pick up your favorite plants. The prices of all products are pretty reasonable and they are fresh from the farm!

Place: Southern area, Katara Cultural Village

Timings: 8 pm to midnight

Date: March 7 till May 15

 

 

Ramadan Market at QQ, The Pearl

The Ramadan Market at Qanat Quartier by Bedaya Exhibitions is another night market that you can enjoy if you are passing by the area. The market consists of an array of products on sale including designer boutique-wear, fashion jewelry, crockery, perfumes, oudh, and a few more.

Place: Nobili Boardwalk, Qanat Quartier, Pearl Qatar

Timings: 7.30 pm to 1 am

Date: April 4-24

 

 

Ramadan Corner at Msheirib Downtown

The Ramadan Corner is another initiative by Msheirib Properties to partake in the spirit of the Holy Month. The night market is host to many food stalls and local brands lining the downtown street and can make for a fun, relaxed outing with family and kids.

Place: Al Kahraba street

Timings: 8.30 pm to 1.30 am

Date: Until April 28

 

EC Marketplace

The EC Marketplace is a part of Qatar Foundation’s program of Ramadan Cultural Nights and is held at Oxygen Park. There are a couple of vendors here that showcase and also sell their handicrafts here.

Place: Oxygen Park, EC

Timings: Sunday – Wednesday : 8 pm to 12 am

Thursday – Saturday : 8 pm to 2 am

Date: April 13 to 23
