Free iftar tents in Qatar this Ramadan
Every year during Ramadan, you can spot several free iftar tents spread across the country. Most of these free iftars are made available by charity organizations.
However, there are quite a few tents that are sponsored by companies or by generous Qatari families. In some areas, you can see tents attached to mosques that provide food for the needy.
The purpose of this post is to make information regarding such tents available to the needy. If you have any information/photos regarding such tents, please share it in the comments below.
This information might help a lot of needy people, and Qatar Living would like to help by giving a single platform for users to share this info.
Have a blessed Ramadan, QLers.
Hi Guys....There are 2 Iftar Tents
1. Near Crazy Signal you will find Crown Plaza - behind Crown Plaza there is a school named Muhammed Bin Hannibal Boys Higher Secondary School..There is free Iftar sponsored by Qatar Charity for 300 people. for that you should enter the school before atlease 4:45. If you come after 5:00 most probably it will be closed & they won't allow you to come inside the tent if it exceeds 300 people. The security will be head counting the number of people who areb entering the school. So better if you reach there between 16:00 - 16:45.
2. There is an Iftar Tent near Toyota Signal adjacent to the mosque. It is a big tent and i don't knw the capacity bcoz i haven't been there.
please call it Rahman table or iftar from allah not "free iftar"
nice but plz for non muslims, don't start eating before azaan starts lool, good luck all with love
for the non muslims to gain the experience of fasting and iftaar , hyat plaza organizes a fastathon every ramadan. check out for the date
Anyone can go in those tents and have foods/ Iftar. They won't whether you are fasting or not? Go there and get the experience by yourself. Just be on the time. Iftar Timings today 6.25pm
This is for the people who fasts during ramazan, not everyone to go and do experience....
US2Qatar: Go and get yourself a packet and enjoy it without any fear or worries. Just make sure you are there on time.
Anyone can go to these iftar tents.
Are these tents only for the needy or can someone go there once for the experience without getting in trouble?
I suggest some philanthropist starts a system of distributing Iftar packets to Muslim passengers at the Karwa bus station. They can begin just 15 minutes before the Adhan by boarding each bus and handing the packets to the passengers. I came across this situation last Ramadhan when I was on a Karwa bus and we were sharing what we had brought with us when the Adhan came. Also, Karwa bus drivers should be advised to keep their radios on at the time of the Adhan so that Muslim passengers can break their fast.
