Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has heeded the call by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s (MEC) to adjust operating hours of shopping centres during Ramadan and decided to keep its various centres open well past midnight.

Al Meera said the arrangement ‘comes in appreciation of the ministry’s role in protecting consumers and enhancing their experiences at commercial venues,’ reported Gulf Times.

Meanwhile, Al Meera’s shopping centre in Al Mansoura will become the second branch, after Legtaifiya, to open its doors 24 hours a day during the Holy month of Ramadan, reported Qatar Tribune.

“This year, Al Meera’s active participation in the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s ‘The Least We Can Do’ initiative is the expression of our appreciation for their role in the Qatari community,” said Al Meera Chairman Sheikh Thani bin Thamer Al Thani.

“In light of this initiative, Al Meera proudly extends its operating hours in most stores and has allocated our Mansoura branch to operate for 24 hours,” he added.

24 hrs open is not a good idea at all ........... If a person can't manage his life in 23 hrs he can't do in one extra hr ......... So please reduce this facility ........ Do not make them more lazier .....................
