Eid- Al-Fitr 2022 is all set to be a much joyous and widely-enjoyed event in Qatar. With relaxed restrictions in all public places and a nice four-day-long holiday for nearly everyone, the festival will witness many people enjoying a myriad range of activities, including Qatar Tourism’s first-ever Eid Al-Fitr festival. However, given the still bearable and pleasant weather, families are also gearing up to head to their favorite beaches with family and friends for a day away from the city. The Ministry of Municipality (A Baladiya) has also announced the preparation of several family beaches for Eid al-Fitr celebrations. Bachelors and other corporate workers are not allowed to enter family beaches.

We’ve compiled a list of five beaches you can visit for Eid 2022 and enjoy a pleasant afternoon or evening on the Eid weekend.

Sealine beach, Mesaieed

Not only does Sealine beach offer a stunning sand-to-sea panoramic experience, but it is also a great place to watch a beautiful sunset tinged with beautiful yellow, pink, and orange gradients. This is a family beach and there are also a host of activities available for everyone. You can opt for dune-bashing, quad-biking, or even fishing post-sunset. There is also a separate section of the beach which is open to the general public including bachelors too. A great option would also be to do a barbecue evening with your loved ones.

Farkiah beach

Situated nearly 2 km from Al Khor Mall, Farkiah family beach is also a popular option for a beach visit for families wishing to have some quiet time. There is ample parking space and all the necessary facilities of toilets, showers, BBQ stands, and even a playground for children make it an ideal spot for a beach escape.

Dukhan beach

Dukhan public beach is situated on the western coast of Qatar and is nearly 80 km from the heart of Doha. The top spot when it comes to the most beautiful sunset, you can definitely grab some snacks and head here to catch the beautiful vistas. The open space beach is also good for swimming and camping, and the water is also a bit warmer. It is open to bachelors and families too. There is the Dukhan Water Sports Club in the vicinity so you can check that out as well.

Thakira beach

Thakira family beach is another off-beat but beautiful beach destination to visit for a beach trip away from the city. This beach is host to several mangroves and this can make for an ideal photo-op too! There are options to do fishing and kayaking and even a nice BBQ while your kids play to their hearts’ content. It is open only to families.

Semaisma beach

Semaisa beach is another family-friendly spot to have a nice picnic out there during the Eid holidays and weekends. There is a family park with a nice play area for kids. There are canopies under which you can do BBQ under night lights. The beach mostly has a nice, cool breeze most of the time, so this can make for a pleasant getaway. There are two or three stretches of Simaisa beach that are open for separate sections of the public. There's a women's only beach and there is a families beach.
