My agency said that if youre male and from another country its harder to find a job? why is this so? is it because there are already many males in qatar to start with?
Thanks for the responses. Yes I am female. my boyfriend and I submitted our resumes to the same agency at the same time and I got a job offer to work as a nurse in Doha, while he is still waiting for a job offer. The agency said that one reason why this is so (because of its been months a he still doesnt have a job offer) is because he is male. which makes it harder for him to find a job. That is why Im asking if this statement is really what is known to the majority in Doha.
Soniya, read his/her posting properly. (S)he did not say (S)he was looking for a position for Her/himself, but merely asking if it was true that it is more difficult for males to get a position according to what her agency informed her. Her gender is irrelevant as the question remains the same.By the way, your profile says you like answering questions.....?
You are right. Mnay people believe that women attract customers more than men. Also many bosses are men and they want females to work with. This is not in Qatar here but in many countries.Last time i read about africans in EU that african women can get jobs more easily that the men
As far as the ratio of male to female is concerned .... yes they make almost 75-80% of the population. But there are equal opportunities for male & female...depending on the nature of job.
