flip flops are comfortable and handy (i could keep a pair of it in my bag and change my shoes when my feet starts to ache), but i find it annoying how some people can just purposely wear it almost everywhere, and worse, wear the flip flops with sleeved blouses, which, in fashion sense, does not actually balance.
yes, streets are paved.... but there are very few sidewalks, some roads are unfinished and there's construction everywhere... so YES.. sand is anywhere!

yeah it's "cool" to wear flip flops..and don't worry about the sand it's harmless and it's almost non existent in the city...
