Role of expats to prove Qatar a expat friendly nation

Hi Friends,

I believe as an expat living happily, safely and prosperously in Qatar, I have my role to play to show the western medias that QATAR IS A EXPAT FRIENDLY NATION!!!! #ExpatfriendlyQatar

What action of ours can prove them wrong?

I have few simple steps that I think, will add as my part to this movement #ExpatfriendlyQatar

1. As an engineer in construction industry I will ensure utmost workplace safety to ensure me and none of co-workers are harmed.

2. Summer has arrived with its hot dry waves!!! - please drink as much as water possible and encourage your co-workers to drink water adequately. Many cardiac arrest cases and deaths are just reported due to eccentric dehydration and mineral loss. Even the BBC filmed case of Nepali worker death in last year, I think, was happened due to cardiac arrest as a result extreme dehydration.

3. Never use the term - "Labor camp" - Its officially called "Worker's accommodation". The term camp often lead us to thoughts from Nazi era of concentration camps.

4. Please spread the hash tag #ExpatfriendlyQatar in social net work and lets advertise how friendly is our Qatar.

Please comment with your suggestion that a expat can do as his role to prove the Qatar is always expat friendly.

Sreenath: Just get me my QR 8000 that one company has "eaten up" as they know very well I will not be able to recover it any way, and I will join your club of "happy expats!" With so many negative things that get stated by people about Qatar from time to time, I still find it a very good country to live in -- and definitely far better place than mine.

I am not urging to lie for #ExpatfriendlyQatar ; but I am urging you all to prove the medias were wrong about their over exaggerated news about human right violations in Qatar.

I am a bachelor and I am posting it not because I got my family RP.

Lets don't be sarcastic abut our views; those of us (expats) are here in a state to post our views ad comments in the forum are here for achieving a more prosperous life than what we could achieve from our home country.

Qatar was always Expat friendly .... But I want #ExpatfriendlyQatar to be a movement where all Happy expats can contribute effortlessly (Because most of us are busy and may NOT be able to input some action requiring more efforts) to make this place a better one; more safer and more friendlier and more healthier. And the 4 actions I am ensuring are with least efforts but will contribute well to the movement. And I urge all of happy expats in this forum to contribute some thing like this or more towards #ExpatfriendlyQatar movement.

Friendship is a two-sided affair. When unscrupulous employers go about using all dirty methods to snatch the earnings and savings of workers, where does the "friendly" part come in? Just take the case of employers providing NOC in exchange of an employee's End of Service benefits as an example. Sreenath: Would you still be speaking of "friendship" if this happened to you?

We can contribute to the charity programs to provide the laborers with basic necessities such as soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes because if they are getting paid in full and on time - they are sending every spare dirham home to their families - and if they are not getting paid .....
