women are more matured than men, base on own experience, even the man is 2 years older than woman..... Is it always like that???? And is it really true that a man can't handle lots of problem or task in one hand, that woman can do? :(
I've been in administrative/managerial positions as to where I would have to decide one's fate in his/her job.
It takes a long long while to think and weigh things over and often times than not, most women in positions would think of the after-effect before making a decision. Call it emotional, but we women always takes into consideration who gets affected in our decisions...
Faisal, you're right, bro. Women are good in planning and executing decisions but poor in taking the final decision, esp if it's a difficult one - like firing (not just scolding)people. The decision to disrupt someone's right to life (working for a living) is difficult to make.
Men can be matured WHEN THEY WANT TO BE and if the situation merits it...age has nothing to do with it.
Sometimes, they seemed to act immature coz their partner (the ladies) thinks so. You won't believe it, my BF is 3 years younger than me but I can say, he's MAN and MATURE enough to handle a relationship, and I'm never been happier. :-)
"...with all the jobs men do to raise a family and manage.."? surely this does not apply to all men,...this is one battle that can never be won either way, because it will be on a case to case basis...men vs women...
Yeah, we're all just kidding around. Just a pastime and talking rubbish to take a break ... from that pile of paperwork staring at me in the face!
MD's comment is right. The key is education. I add - and experiential exposure. You can study a lot but without experiential exposure, it's still not enough. Ta! I'm outta here.
Catsniper - women unpredictable.. hmm.. but if they're predictable, you men would be bored as they'd be no challenge, right? Come on.. 'fess up.
But yes, agree that there is no such thing as perfection. Just near perfection - mature ones have high standards, not impossible ones. Lol!
/And those standards are subjective, depending on the individual itself. Failure to assess that accurately results in failure. And then they whine about women having impossible standards. Lol! GAL.
Eagle: I do not get where the 'submissive' thing comes into maturity. As for tantrums, sulking and being egoistic its neither female nor male...have seen people of both sexes in that mould.
About multi-tasking, I know women who cant get one thing at a time right, forget 2 or 3. ;)
Again, its the mental make up....some excel in trades that demand a single minded pursuit, some excel in trades that need juggling tasks. I would rather consider it(the ability to multi-task) a personal attribute than a virtue or sign of maturity.
But yeah, any individual who can go through something like a childbirth once and decide to have it once more, must be REAL tough!! Also, anyone who can take care of kids, family and on top of it, a career without faltering anywhere is indeed a remarkable individual.
Women mature much faster..no wonder they need Plastic surgery when they get to 30..to keep looking young as the 30 year old male counterparts.. Just an observation..lol
Maturity - result of education - yes, but some of my ex-MBA mates are still immature. Cultural factors make a difference too, as does the surrounding environment.
Next question will be "maturity" by what definition? As just an example, those who support the conservative view will hold fast to the view that men are indeed kings and women should be submissive. Maturity, by their definition, is the ability to protect one's woman and so in gratitude, she should serve him. I think it goes something like that..
/On another note, I'm conservative but not that conservative. Too much TV. Probably mixed up - crossed between East and West. I like being protected but I won't be anyone's glorified maid.
//But seriously, it's generally true that guys mature later. (Note, I said "generally" not specifically). A number of guys I used to work with (at work and (some in my former MBA teams) were older than I was but they throw tantrums, sulk, etc.when they don't get their way / cannot control the situation, thinking that as a woman, I'd feel sorry for them and give in. I'm NOT their mother!
(or more accurately, they could not control me, as I don't follow their instructions blindly (they were my subordinates (work) and equal teamsters (studies)- this aspect is probably cultural eg. women are supposed to be submissive and bow down to their every wish - because their mothers taught them that they are kings and are to be treated as such. Unfortunately, they met me. Results: I got my work done and got good grades while they were on skid row).
These older guys also definitely could not multi-task - more than 1 or 2 things at a time and everything just goes over their heads. And they were very egocentric too - to me that's a sign of immaturity, thinking that the whole world revolves around them. They kept failing in their work / business dealings and kept whining about how the world was so unfair to them, etc. They never look in the mirror at themselves - despite having their eyes opened by lectures and readings, etc. They never accept responsibility for their own actions. It's never their fault - it's other people and circumstances, etc. Never them.
Just another "stupid" thread. Females mature earlier biologically. That's a fact. It has nothing to do, however, with the maturity of the brain which is a result of education. 10 year old guys have been accepted at Universities. That's another fact.
But it's not true. Maturity and ability to multi-task are personal traits that vary from person to person, gender would not be an issue.
Generally you would find most women more compassionate and emotional than most men, but that's social conditioning from their upbringing, not a gender-related trait.

in an american research they notice the following:
women are really good in planning and preparing but poor in taking the finall disesion.
men are totally the opposite.!!

Women are unpredictable. They want the impossible – the absolute perfection, NO where a sign of maturity. Logically a BIG NO. LOL
Moving on is simple; it's what you leave behind that makes it so difficult .

Yep, all true.
MD and Bleu, aren't ALL QL threads time-wasting?
The old theory was "Marry an older man, because they're more mature." But the new theory is: "Men don't mature. Marry a younger one."

You cant judge by taking a 10 yr. old to a university.
Its the your behavior, attitudes towards life, handling problems or decision making....etc.
Still, to my experience, Men is more matured than women....in many ways.
For once I agree with MD, it is another useless time-wasting Q-IV thread.
