WHY oh WHY!

Everyday I come up with many "Why's".. So, let's share. Perhaps we have same thoughts. this thread is not about driving habit or religion please..

On my way to work, I passed a year or so old BMW 750li in my Pink KIA. Nothing unusual about that, BUT...

WHY did the BMW driver have polythene / plastic covers still on his car seats ? Why do people do this ? Perhaps you are a closet plastics sheet coverer..

WHY!

Why do people talk LOUDLY when they're speaking to someone whose first language isn't the same as theirs? They won't ENUNCIATE clearly, but they sure get loud. Do these people think the others are all deaf or something?

Isn't it better to get fitted washable covers ?

Plastic must get sticky and uncomfortable in the summer..

Well i do have plastic covers at the back seat all thanks to my young ones who always like to eat and drink in the car and sometimes pouring those soft drinks and juices on the seat.

Sometime my office mates were refusing to sit in my car and to clean your car it will not take any less than 3 days at car wash and three days without cars means three days of total disaster.

Has anyone ever noticed the guys in the airport on their way home who have bought new suits and still have the tailors label stitched onto the cuff of the jacket. I have seen this everytime Im in the airport.

BMW seats are leather, what the hell are you protecting them from?

I also hate the price tag on the bottom of the shoe... I saw a gal in this gorgeous pair of Gucci's, only to notice the freaking white tags almost glowing from the sole as she walked. ___________________________________________________

Wondering why some ppl are still keeping the UV sticker on their sunglasses or the price label on their shoe sole...forgotten? Maybe also for re-sale;-)

I reckon there are some 'Betty Swollocks' out there.......yuck! (sitting on plastic sheets!)

Well its not just about cars...

In some countries they leave the plastic covers of the remote control for the TV, AC...the electronics!

As well on the sofas to keep it new....really, but its totally funny!! :P

I would think that the owner of that BMW got it second-hand and would like to resell it later with minimal wear.

You could get it cleaned, and get the plastic put on the seats, even for an old car.

By aboesam• 6 Jan 2009 09:57

the plastic is on the driver seat ? or rear seats only ?

the plastic on a driver seat is stupid , because he will slided , uncomfortable at all ,

the rear seats plastic is normal since most of BMw owners have another family vehicle .. no kids to seat there

Could I wrap my truck in a giant prophylactic?

That why they would understand another 'prickzoid' is driving 'dickinly' just like them.

I had my truck seat covers custom made. is worth the money.

Thanks to Darude who show me, where to go.

Lift, elevator...same thing, yes? I guess I'll need to learn some British when I'm in Doha. I know jumpers are sweaters and Hoovers are vacuums.

I'm thinking of another "why oh why?"...

is there car seats in the elevators?

By Beela• 6 Jan 2009 08:16

Elevator buttons...why do people press the button when there is someone standing there, and the button is lit up? Why press it 10 times? Will the elevator get there faster?

Thanks for the honesty.. But seats are meant to get dirty through wear. Why not just have the car valeted after a period?

I hope you don't dot he same with the sofa at home :)

My point was that this was a very expensive car. So the person who can afford to buy such a car, shouldn't need to worry about the seats "wearing out" .

i think they keep the plastic covers because if they re-sell the vehicle the interiors would still look and feel brand new, but really it's irritating i've tried that before when our vehicle was new, the plastic sheets makes you feel warm hehehehe

They want to keep the seats clean for when they resell the vehicle, so rather than sit on nice comfy seats themselves they save them for someone else!

Did you Google it first?

aside from not wanting the seats to get dirty, some keep the plastic sheets just to brag about their new car... at least that's what i think anyway.... ;)
