Unfortunatly the article from todays Gulf Times is not included in the online edition but to cut a long story short; Qatari women complain that the construction workers look strange, scary and unrecognisable because.................they cover their faces!
Oh well, whats goose for the gander (have I got that right?)

I do not understand this hipocracy in middle east.

Girls can see all of us and we can't see them and when we are not recognisable - these very girls can even report to police.. like you said above.

We all have gone to medical comission for x-ray. During my visit, I could see a long queue of half naked males waiting for our turn to be x-rayed and who were guiding us naked men.. 2 fully covered girls / women. I was feeling as if we are on display and one of us will be selected for some fun later.

Even the chaufers of cars with 200% covered females are poor souls from India and Phillipines.

Actually they recognise the form..or in other words figure.

Its very identifiable if a man gets into one.

Guys i have a question i was walkin on the corniche yesterday and i saw these two veiled women greet each other. My friend who is new in Qatar asked me how do they recognise each other. is it some kinda special whistle or beep or what is it?

Can anyone elaborate or explain me this phenomenon. She said maybe they have x-ray vision. Any woman who wears a veil can explain it to me and my friend without taking any offence

Curiosity killed the cat.

Yeah I know. We will need a masked avenger (ala Batman)soon to keep the streets of Doha City safe for the general populace :P

It was all to do with crime and they are blaming these masked chaps for the increasing crime rate.

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!! That is hilarious!

And by the way, why would Qatari women want to recognize the workers?
