Who gave the kidney to the Emir?

Today at the office we were discussing the kidney transplant that the Emir had in 1997 and ended up betting on who the giver was.

Does anyone know? (And have a link etc. to prove it).

One said it was Sheika Mozah who gave the kidney, another that it was a pakistani man.

Thanks in advance.

Isn't it better not to recall that matter? His life has been saved, and isn't it too much to bring out the matter who gave that kidney? That should be discreet in the sense that It is our Emir, the concerned one, and even to any other ordinary people, they have the right to keep that in private.

Can you not post a better topic? That is  intrusion to private life...

I remember (November 97) the whole corniche was decorated just like its done for Eid, there were huge banners welcoming HH the Emir and news papers published plenty supplementary pages wishing him good health, even two days holiday was declared

His spontaneous displays of loyalty, that evening HH even waved and shook hands with every one.

Lady Diana's popularity after her death in August was big influence I liked the way HH Higness was People's Ruler just like Lady Diana real down to earth.

May Allah Bless him best of health and the Generous Donor too

Sweetheart, I guess any question directly related to the Royal family, especially such a personal question with reference the Emir himself in a public forum like this is an eye opener for me indeed.

Maybe, its common in a place like Britain (or elsehwere) where people might find it okay to ask if the Queen got a B00bjob done or not. But I've been in Qatar for quite long enough and haven't seen many questions like these raised in public forums.

As for my source, my wife flies HH the Emir, so that would have been an interesting question for her to ask while welcoming him aboard. ;)

"they" said it was from a filipino donor... but i really dont know if its true or not... but it doesnt matter.as long as the Emir is okay now... thanks to that kind hearted donor...

May I ask what the wide eyeopener was? I do not really see it. :)

The bet is in the honour of winning, so you can get some of the honour of the person who wins the bet! :P

Mnah, if you need to actually DO something to get the answer, nevermind. I`ll find out eventually. Maybe someone remembers afterall.

Well it didn't touch my sensitive spot, maybe someone else's! But the new thread definitely opened up my eyes *wide*. This tread is gonna rock!

On a much serious note, what is the bet wager? I have few reliable sources that might just help you get the right answer. What's my cut in it? :)

What do you mean `What kind of question is that`? It is a simple and legitimate question?

And off course I googled it before I asked...but I didn`t find anything and therefore I ask you guys.

Sorry if I touched a sensitive spot... :(

Not me for sure. I can give you a certificate of guarantee for that cos both of mine a pretty much intact!

And what kinda question is that? Why don't you look up on the web maybe. Pretty sure the guy who donated it wouldn't probably be still in Qatar and reading QL to admit his donation for kind sum, he'd be running a resort somewhere in Hawaii or Bali by now.
