Where to buy speaker cable?
Hello QatarLiving Group,
Where can I buy speaker cable in Doha? I’m setting up my surround sound system and need to run speaker cables from my amplifer to the rear speakers in the back of the room.
I’ve tried Modern Home, Carrefour and ExpoCentre in City Centre with no luck.
Is there a speaker cable or wiring souk somewhere?

Appreciate your prompt replies everyone. Great to know about the shops at Arab Roundabout. Agree Monster Cable is too expensive. Splitting the LAN CAT-6 cable is a great idea! Cost effective and quite ingenious! I'm going to try that suggestion. Regards to all. Phil
If you are looking for the absolute best you need to go for audiophile quality cables which will be exorbitantly priced. You get 'Monster' branded cables in one of the Jumbo stores in 'National' area. The cheap trick is to buy Lan (Ethernet) CAT-6 cables from any PC accessories store. They will have 8 wires in them. 4 will be colored fully and the other 4 will be white with colored stripes. Bunch the colored wires for the positive and the white-striped wires for the negative terminals. This is the cheapest way to get absolutely gorgeous cables. You system will sound much better with these cables.
You can get those from 'Mercure Hotel' [Known previously as Sofitel] ... some shops has it, but if you did not then try 'Radio Basheer' or 'Al Enabi' both the shops are so close to each other and are located near the 'Arab Bank' roundabout ... the old branch of course near 'Souq Nejadah'.
