When will Qatar drivers realize these facts ?

Police in Abu Dhabi issued 128 tickets to motorists last year for driving below the minimum speed limit.

Driving slower than the minimum speed limit causes traffic jams and crashes Brigadier Hussain Al Harithi, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said in a statement yesterday.
..................

He also said they should keep their focus on the traffic and stay in the designated lanes .

If can't drive, then don't drive on Highways, stay in streets! Slow drivers are always problem!

Any one Okay with a guy who is driving at 50km/h on AL-Shamal Road? Well i am not,

I often noticed that's a big problem in Qatar. People don't even use snow tires when that happens....

Always drive carefully in snow especially if it rains and then freezes again, black ice is almost invisible and very dangerous. Not recommended to go much above 50 km/h in such conditions.

there is no fine for low speed in Doha. there is traffic obstruction fine of 1500QR. but that is for stationary vehicle blocking the traffic (road accident not clearing the way, not moving at green light...)

Obviously you can stop, too, or crash into the vehicle in front of you. But, if you are a Qatari, you will find a way around the hold-up.

Stop argument.

What do you do if traffic in front of you stands still on any road ?

Do you drive backwards ?

In circumstances like that, we need to drive slower.

dont worry 99 % of qatari drivers already realized that's why they only drive "fast". here will be no such issue for slow speeding

60 km

That's not true. If there is heavy fog and you go 80 km/h you will cause an accident. If there is water on the road, you will go water-skiing over 80 km/h!

We will see the minimum speed limit only on the major highways and not at the common streets or roads. In the international traffic laws, it is set at 80 Kph- minimum and 120Kph- maximum. It is really illegal to run on the highways below 80 Kph. This will cause accident because all the cars and trucks are running at high speed.

Driving here is a good way to control the population and weed out the stupid and the ignorant.

What's a "minimum" speed "limit"? And what if the circumstances don't allow to drive faster? Idiots are everywhere.
