HGL, if you r using android phone, just Gmail>Settings (top right corner)> click on your mail ID> than Disable the settings, Mean cancel the notifications etc,

but if u delete your account, u won’t be able to use play store for app download etc

Ok now that you got your query answered, can anyone advice me how to logout of gmail on my phone (the smart one...:)) It keeps making sound of some email coming every now and then bothering my sleep...:)

Yes since android belong to google yes u need gmail account

its not a smartphone hence it will not download whats app..u need to have smart phone :)

i am so lazy to create new email ID, so what i did is i just typed in anything, like [email protected] haha it worked! Play store will ask you to verify your account but wont slap you either if you don't.

Yes it should be free on the Play Store. Logo is green color :)
