What's the weirdest thing you grew up eating (or eat now)?

There are some weird ones in there... fried grasshoppers, for example...

I ate peanut butter and pickle sandwiches as a kid, but that's about as weird as it got for me.

My father burned it, made into powder and dissolved the powder in a glass of Coca-Cola. Old people from my place believed it to be a good cure for Asthma. Sigh, I still have asthmatic attacks nowadays....

sprinkled with salt and black pepper.

Rice cooked with Jaggery (gur wale chawal).

Bittergourd curry.

Sweet rice (zurda) and salty rice (Palou)mix two and have it with tea.

Since I grew up in a Boarding school, my child hood was filled with wierd stuff concocted to quench theever present HUNGER!Bournvita crushed into stiff balls, banachipps dipped in hot prawn/meat pickles,Maggi noodles cooked in Biscut tins....the works.....

You can be HOT or COLD to me, spare me LUKEWARM!!!!
