HIi guys!!
So far QL has been a great experience , but there is important experience id like to share with you ll which would save you from getting cheated!
I am a regular on the classified section and noticed that there were a few adds posted which claimed to be selling electronic good like Cell phone , iphones , ipods , computers etc etc at DIRT CHEAP prices!!!
It made me curious coz the prices that the stated they were selling the price was jaw dropping!
So i decided to call and find out, it happened that the cell no. provided was a London cell no.(that rang the first bell in my head)
I tried a few cell no. before i could get thru one of them...the rest of them were invalid(rang a bell again in my head)
Now i was finally talking to some one who claimed to be able to provide me with 10 brand new iphone , when it was out of stock in the apple store its self!
I told him i wanted the phones right away and was willing to pay cash!
I spoke to a friend in London and he agreed to go pick it up for me!
The Catch......he guy selling the phone said he cant take cash and more over he said that i cant even have some one come get the phones....!!!that rang the loudest bell in my head!RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
The iphone seller told me that I would have to make a western union money transfer to his account , give him the transaction ID and then he would ship the iphones to me.....hahahahah!!!
Now when i told him that i was not confertable with such a dealing , he tried to convince me to make the payment and assured that he will ship the iphones right away and not only that he claimed that if i buy 10 iphones and make a money transfer today ... he will also give me 4 more iphones free..... ohhh i forgot to mention .... each iphone 16gb for $230 where as APple is selling them for $530.....
what was he selling tooth brushes or something...!!!
Well i did try to convince him to give me the phones one hand and the other hand he would have his money !!!! but he just would not agree.... he had a harsh voice with some what Italian or Russian accent and spoke really bad english!
He tried his best to convince me and trying to call me from UNKNOWN numbers but i knew it was a scam !!!
So guys pls don t fall for this Jazz and update all your other friends!!!
Points to note;
1)don t take interest in and classified which is selling stuff in any other currency other that Qatari Riyal.
2)Don t to any post which has cell no. from out of Doha!
3)Do not do any money transfer or give out bank info to unknown people over the net!
Doha is small place the best thing to do is go see the product being sold and if u like it strike a deal and give cash in hand !!!
PLS spread this word before our Innocent QL users get scammed !!!

never fall to internet theft net. I hope people take more cautious about this thing and QL have quidelines to how to sale/buy in Classified.

The latest ad i saw from these guys from out of doha who r trying to cheat QL members . was bout selling an brand new iphone for 400qr/......hahahha....dumb enuff people will all for it....coz im sure even Steve Jobs cant get an Iphone for that price!!
all other fancy phone that cost over 3000Qr , have been posted for 400-500qr......so guys once again ...REd alert ....!!!DOnt Falll fro it....!!!!

Hey guys jus came across this new post on QL classified and thought to alert u guys bout whats really happening!!!
I kno u guys r really excited bout the new 3G iphone coming up , but Hope u kno its not yet out and there R already People Posting Ads , selling 3g iphone at unbelievably low prices like 1500qr, that too even before it launched....!!its trap...dont fall for it....dont even bother calling any of their no. coz they r all fake and most of them not from Qatar!!!
so back off its a sure short Internet scam....!!!

guys just remember to spread the word to all our QL friends!!!and keep these Parasites away from cheating us!!
that many of those "foreign" ads are deleted by someone in QL as I have seen them and then they have disappeared.
Another questionable advert is the one offering cash for clicking on links. the advertiser claims to have earned $'s from the scheme but you have to register using the advertiser's name so I reckon he gets paid when you register. Doesn't sound right to me.
If you read the yellow bar at the top of classifieds it informs you about this. By the way last year someone posted a similar article to this.
