Education and behavior
Education is necessary to push us forward and make us open minded people, the real open minded people are those who accept other people points of view even if it contradicts with their point of view, the open minded people discuss in a civilized way without saying any bad words or hurting the feeling of others.
A major factor which completes the unique shape of the open minded people is the behavior and attitude, this behavior and attitude in many cases is established by the good parenting and the good values which are given by parents to their kids on a regular basis.
Another factor is the friends who were around these open minded people at school or their home area, many people are affected by the surrounding, a good surrounding will lead in many cases to good attitudes, and it is the human nature that many humans are affected by their surroundings.
These open minded people listen to other people and that is also an important reason why many people like open minded people. A person with PhD and bad behavior is not welcome by many people and many people wish to have a person with PhD and good behavior.
The good behavior and attitude protects you from saying bad words and hurting others, in some communities the bad words could be a source for murder and you could bring danger to your self and your family and loved ones.
If you are that kind of person who say bad words or hurt others and do not accept their point of view then you should ask your self why do I behave like this? Also remember that many people will say that his / her parents did not raise him / her well. Also some people will say bad things about the parents of the person who has bad behavior and attitude. Would any one like others to say something bad about his / her parents?
Parents could have done mistakes and they should always be forgiven so that if you do mistakes your kids will forgive you too. Also try not to repeat the mistakes of your parents. An example of these mistakes could be like letting your kid going outside and not asking him / her where you are going and later on when you go and ask about him you may find him / her killed or raped or in jail. You should know who is your kid friends and you should not let him come late at night. At the end remember what ever you do pay back and please care about your family and relatives so you do not lose them.

would tend to happen due to different set of educational system, personal experience, local culture, traditions and surroundings, so let the discussion or debate end with 'Personal Point of Views' rather impounding any decision on anybody

....that need to acceptable to the extent that shall not be dragged too much to creat a big controversy or a FIGHT!

Eco: A) calling people corrupt is insulting.

B) Disagreement is a form of interest

C) Disagreement is NOT insulting or mocking someone, although many on this site take it as such.

10.

If you are not interested in a topic or think someone is asking a silly question, just move onto another post instead of insulting or mocking them.

Your post is not about using or not using dirty words Khalid, it's about people not respecting your opinion. In your post you are asking people to treat your posts with a reverence they do not deserve.

By Straight Arrow• 5 Jan 2010 10:08
Straight Arrow

It is totally right and fine not to accept but it is not good to insult.

Expressing the opinion should never be insulting.

I will never say on an article this bull s**t, but I would rather say for example I do not see any benifit of this article.

People must know which word to use.

Respect means to hold in esteem or honour. I don't hold any of the things said by any of the above mentioned men with that. So why should I respect it? I cannot esteem or honour any of the words you say Khalid as I disagree so completely with them to the point that at times your opinion makes me physically ill. Therefore, no I will not respect your opinions. Nor do I ask you to do the same for mine.

I guess many understood that when I said respect is accept.

Just listen to the point and do not say bad words on this person.

you just said it right there on your first sentence.. :P

guess i was wrong then..

By Olive• 5 Jan 2010 09:50

I disagree. I don't think people should automatically respect other peoples views. If that were so then I should respect Hitlers views, or L. Ron Hubbards (since he's being mentioned today), or Bin Ladens. Sorry I don't respect any of those views.

By Straight Arrow• 5 Jan 2010 09:41

But others points of view should be respected.

Rizks, Olive has summarized it for you.. :P

i don't have to accept others' POV if they contradict with mine.. so you stick to yours and i'll stick to mine, capisce? :/

I find it funny that a person who was promoting beating your wife in another thread is telling others that they're offensive.
