The 33 countries *exempted are:

The United States of America, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Honduras, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

*Exempted- they can come to Qatar even without a visa. Visa is applied at the Immigration upon arrival.

Lisa1004 is right, need to have a credit card to pay 100QR for your visa that is good for 1 month stay from the date of arrival.

you really need to wait but definitely you will not have to wait forever ;-)

Yes, they do have bank inside and 1US$ = 3.65 QATARI RIYALS

Luck!

Cheers

You will get your Visa in customs. You will need a credit card they do not accept cash. A 1 month tourist Visa cost me 100QR which is about $26.00

I was in Doha in May and this is the procedure that I followed. I had Qatar Riyals but they only took credit cards.

Hope this helps.

If you hold a US Passport, you'll be able to get a visa on arrival. You'll have to pay for the visa (you can use a credit card) - not sure what it costs between $30-$100 I think.
