What is the bruhaha behind Qatarization? Are there really that many unemployed Qataris who so desperately need income to survive? Are there any statistics about unemployed Qataris?
There are some hardworking Qataris as well who really work hard and strive to get to the top. they know the only way the can move up the ladder is by hardwork becuase they do not belong to an influential family. whereas the rest ......what can i say..go see for urself
if people are spoon fed their sense of competition is lost. if you keep a lion in a zoo and feed it and release him in the wild when he is an adult, will he be able to hunt for himself??
if u give someone money without making him work for it he will always rely on you and will never be able to feed for himself.
Hard work always pays (yeah it does that why i haven;t been able to get a job maybe i didn;t work hard in my masters and undergrad)) who knows.
I think it is true that many Qataris are unemployed. Many Qataris are in my neighbourood and they certainly don't go to their offices in the morning bcoz their cars are parked in their garages in the morning and they like to keep the main gates of their houses open. (Don't ask me Why)
The second problem is that Qataris don;t want to work hard. they want to make money the easy way without going to the offices. one of my friend told me that Qataris employees come at 11:00 am in the office and leave by 1:00 pm. And during that time they go out for gossiping. The problem is that no one not even the director has the guts to ask them why they don;t come on time..
so most private companies don;t hire Qataris becuase the Qataris can leave at will and join another company not like us we are slaves and we are bound .....if you don;t agree .......then u are living in a fool's world..

After serving for 15years Qatari employee is entitled to receive a monthly payment of his basic salary + social allowance. That’s only applicable to government offices, authorities, & corporations (every Qatari employee is deducted 5% of his/her salary as QTR pension)
Alot of Qatari applications are there at Labour dept., and mind you other GCC nationals (NOT ONLY Qataris) are given priorities for a job before us(non-GCC expats).

ROFL....True.....True.....True.
Lot of the youth turn Dibetic early.
So it is to engage them in some activity or other so as to keep them busy are they being offered well paid govt jobs.
But I feel if you "spoon feed" a child then he is never going to feed himself. If you give him a crutch he will never learn to walk without it.
But there are good intelligent & hardworking Qatari people who are taking intrest in their Jobs. Also it has benifited the Qatari women a lot.
I am asking wether it is true or not. Don't jump to cut my throat.

The lady is obviously asking if its TRUE or NOT? but now, you answered her question.
Cheers! ;)))
Wooow Genesis calm down! She said "I heard" and she is asking "Is it true?" ... that's different from "I know for sure". No need to be so aggressive.

i heard that if Qatari resigned from his works, he will get 80 percents of his last pay from the government. Is it true?
i have the same question, why all the fuss about qatarization, when there is a need for work force that exceeds the numbers of all qataris?
