Is it true that unemployed women can’t get a Qatari driving license? I have moved recently to Doha from Muscat and I indent to convert my Omani D/L to Qatari as soon as my RP is stamped. Please advice me on the procedures.

Thanks.

The same localization policy they are going to implement here in Qatar also, but there are so many other thing to be considered which is not good for expatriate in qatar. Now the middle east is not a place to live. we can not save money coz of living expenses and cost of living.

Thank you Salman.

Oman is indeed a better place to live, but Qatar is more rewarding. Oman’s aggressive localization policy is a major cause for worry for expats.

After getting stamp in your RP you have to pay a small fees to convert Muscat D/L to Qatari D/L. It does not matter whether you are employed or not. more info you will get here in QL.

But I want to know if you dont mind, why did u come to Qatar? Is Muscat not a good place to work or what? It would be increasing in my information.

best of luck.
