OK, I can understand two enemies (Palestine & the Zionist Regime) fighting and taking extreme measures against each other. This is normal in any war/fight/struggle between any 2 enemies in the world.
What I can't understand, is the Americans. Why do they hate the Palestineans so much? Why these actions against Palestine, and against whoever supports Palestine? Why be biased in this ugly manner?
"There cannot be a peace process if the Israelis keep stealing more land."
Not only that. It is a solid proof that Abbas's peaceful approach is a total failure and that Hamas's policy is the only language that the Zionists understand:
What is taken by force, must be returned by force
Hajji that is irrelevant and is never going to happen.
What is more concerning is the building of more illegal settlements by Israel, especially in East Jureusalm. There cannot be a peace process if the Israelis keep stealing more land.
The US congress/senate seems to be taking steps to punish Palestine and the UN, for the recognition of the Palestinean state.

Americans always say: we are peace-loving people, we do not support the foreign policy of our governments, we...bla bla bla...
It's definitely not true. Who is electing these governments, then?
This latest action by the US congress is just another example of who is leading America
Who represents this Palestinian State?
Is it Abu Mazen? Hasn't his mandate expired? There hasn't been an election the last few years of so.
Or is it Hamas, who represent only 35% of the Palestinian people, ie Gaza?
They have been at loggerheads for quite a while.
Who do the countries talk to for issues? Will they continue the game of blaming each other or Israel for their problems?
Ice Maiden - for information Israel says no.
After 65 years, the truth dawned on them that their neighbour ain't gonna go away, so they might as well say Yes rather than trying to eliminate them.
What was the topic of this discussion?
Driver Dog: If you need me to send you links about Australia's open history regarding Aborigines and the white settlement and the stolen generation, your more of an idiot than i thought.
Tahs, you can only modify statements. You have your sense of right and wrong, but that is just you opinion.
@Tahsinim if the whole world said that Palestine and Israel are the ILLEGAL rulers of the Canaanites lands would that make it any acceptable? YES
australia did nothing wrong with the blacks in australia, when the whites arrived the blacks did not wear cloth and had not invented the wheel, but in other countries they were making gold clocks timed to the second, buildings, houses, roads, pottery.. machines...., hello,, and you Justbecause.... said we kill babies, i think you have your hand on it too much as you cant be natural that stupid on australia history,, maybe you can send some links...

Bolsted - Sir your post is a complete non sequitur
The number of abstentions is interesting.
Nauru used to be the wealthiest country in the world per capita, but it relied exclusively on its natural resources, which eventually ran out. Now it is incredibly poor. There is a lesson for Qatar in this.

Countries who said No are
US
Canada
Croatia
Panama
Czech Republic
Micronesia
Marshall Islands
Nauru
Palau.
Out of these 9 the last 4 are insignificant. Most people can't locate them in the world map!
"I have the right to lie,lie lie and lie"
we know...this is what we see in all your posts
@Splitt , self determination aye? so just because I am not well up for something, or determinedly fighting for something blindly, I have the right to lie,lie lie and lie? and prosecute people ?
Now who is stopping who from practicing their believes and worship?
the issue of self determination which the Palestinians have every right to do
@SPLITT and it gets worse when the both sides start inventing bullocks.
Like the lies that many people say, that Jews take children's blood and bake bread with them , in a special occasion.
And believe me or not, it was widely believed, and it was even used as a scene in some Arabic movie series, where people act and wear as Jews and takes the kid and slit him and take his blood.
Disgusting....
"Go Australia,, we dont support Terorist"
oh yes you do. Big time
rather a massacre
"sound familiar to what the Zionists are doing now"
Undermining your own argument, get educated yourself too.
Good for them... now what's next?
Drovers_Dogggggg Australia doesnt support terrorist- They only terrorized aboriginals, stole their children(remember the stolend generation einstein) took over their land, killed their children, isolated them and tried to kill them all so they could claim their land..Read about your history DOG, sound familiar to what the Zionists are doing now. You really are a DUMB DOG!!!
Mabrook, and I hope both sides just doesn't mess it up.
It is just a game. They don't get anything tangible, but let's hope it acts as an incentive to move forward.
you mean like the war between the Nazi & the Jews? It takes two to tango
it takes 2 to war... shame all your wars are over religion.... yes very smart....
it takes 2 to war... shame all your wars are over religion.... yes very smart....
whatever any Palestinean do, whatever reactions they have against the invasion of their country, is totally justified and encouraged
Personally I think the 67 borders are a fair compromise but Gaza Palestinians do not help themselves with their actions.
if resisting invasion is considered "terrorism", then we are all proud to be "terrorists"
you or any aussie who are against Palestineans, are the real animals here
dovers,
if resisting invasion is considered "terrorism", then we are all proud to be "terrorists"
if you want to start a new post about israeli spies, then go do it. This post is about Palestine in the UN
you should be ashamed that your country doesn't recognize SC resolutions on the borders of 1967
Palestineans do accept these resolution despite the fact that Zionists should all be kicked out of Palestine, if we want things to be fair and justice to prevail
USA, Israel, Canada are 3 of the 9 countries Who Voted against Palestine being recognized as a non-member observer status....
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/29/countries-that-voted-against-palestine-un_n_2214376.html
And All this Should have been done 10 yrs ago...
Anyways, Better Late then Never...
If the whole world said Britain was the legal ruler of India would that make it acceptable?
the whole world says 1967 borders and US, israel, Australia and marshall Islands say no.
Palestine is a state so where is its border ?
I don't think a country is your enemy. What are going to do? Write bad words about the country.... How futile.
The only other non-member state is the Vatican.
Can anyone outline what non-member states get?
Would love to know the 9 countries voted against.. US and Israel... who are the rest seven ???
Good news. At last they have recognition.
Now let everyone be smart over the decision
Congrats Palestine! You deserved it.
here is a country who was fighting for independence and recognition for years but cannot reciprocate when someone else calls for the same. Fascist zionist roots still run deep within the croatia's political elite.
Finally there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Just hope fervently now that all parties concerned keep to the pacts and peace prevails!
Yeah must admit the look was quite precious to say the least..Didn't expect a yes from Croatia at all anyways so not surprised.
