UAE is jealous of Qatar winning 2022 bid. Any doubt... Refer to the Gulf News coverage of 2022 bid on 3rd Dec Edition(attached some screen shots)

Snow in Europe and Gulf cup schedule was more important for Gulf News than Qatar winning 2022 bid. Do you have any other explanation????

The OP is completely wrong and is creating rumours.

Gulf News featured Qatar winning the FIFA 2022 on first page headlines including photos of of HH Emir and HH Sheikha Mozza accepting Ballon d'or

What original poster has displayed is Gulf News website clipping which changes every few minutes with new news.

Why such dirty malicious rumours about our neighbours?

Mods should remove this disgusting topic of lies.

Its a great day for Qatar and all Arab world especially GCC should be happy about this bid winning. Qatar winning this bid deserves a better coverage than snow in Europe. Even Australian news papers covered this news better than Gulf News

Its not like that Thirsday night UAE has the best fireworks in burj Kakifa hotel. This WC is pride for Gulf, and the whole Middle East support Qatar during bidding.

Frankly speaking, no bidding country for 2022 World cup is happy. If you take Australia, and Specially USA.

I am confident Qatar will prove it self to thw world that small state in the gulf can also Host the Fifa World Cup.

http://www.thenational.ae/news/worldwide/gulf-region-shares-qatars-world-cup-of-joy.

Please get your facts right.

1. They are your neighboring country.

2. Share common ideology and thought.

3. Just separate through a sea.

4. Their market gets the biggest boost in view of the transhipment of goods and services required for the project.

5. Think..and Relive AMAZING...Rather than talking like a frog in the well..

Need to keep in mind,

1 UAE did not bid

2 Not a priority for them

sadly people in Qatar are so mis-informed and feel that the world revolves around Qatar.

If the UAE cared about hosting FIFA, they would have bid for it. You must remember that UAE is a very good friend of Qatar and a member of the GCC.

There is absolutely no reason for the UAE to be jealous.

Don't just put your thoughts without properly verifying the facts..

I, myself, has seen, since morning until evening, the headline at Gulf News website was Qatar's win.. they would have changed it just a few hours back..

They have now even put up a Poll on Qatar's win..which so far indicated 67% 'Yes' to: "Qatar's victory will boost tourism and economic development in the Middle East"..

Also, check this e-paper: http://gulfnews.newspaperdirect.com/epaper/viewer.aspx

The news is on front page..

You need to get some thicker skin mate, if you are going to remain sane for the next 12 years. Not everything that is printed or not printed is about Qatar. Qatar is not the center of the universe, and the world is not focussed on Qatar. Most Americans I spoke to did not even know US put forward a bid, let alone that Qatar won. Qatar will undergo some media scrutiny and while some of it may be caused by jealousy, the vast majority of it will not.

For the record, I think that Qatar hosting the WC will be a force of change for the better.

If he was going for his wedding and snow caught up.... now he would be a very lucky person wouldnt he?

But considering the fact that snow has created havoc for the common man, it was worth reporting it, than reporting an event coming up in 2022 on the front page..

My husband's colleague was stuck in Frankfurt Airport for two days and had to come back without achieving anything he set out to do....His connecting flight to France simply did'nt take off due to snow...He came back as the conference he was supposed to attend got almost over by then:-(

Just think of the effect, if he was going for his wedding, some loved one's funeral or to be with his wife during their child's birth....

UAE doesn't give a damn.

They have a lot of stuff on their plate and it involves reviving Dubai!

Get off your high horse. Qatar FIFA 2022 is not the 'ONLY' important world event.
