The Turkish Way of Democracy

Eleven German MPs of Turkish origin have been put under police protection.

They received death threats after supporting a move to describe the 1915 massacre of Armenians by Ottoman Turks as genocide.

Germany's foreign ministry has warned MPs of Turkish origin against travelling to Turkey, saying their security there could not be guaranteed.

The German parliament's move outraged the Turkish government, which does not recognize the killings as genocide.Ankara's mayor showed the 11 MPs in a tweet, saying they had "stabbed us in the back". According to German media, it was re-tweeted by many Turkish nationalists, some of whom made death threats.

And a group of Turkish lawyers has reportedly filed a complaint accusing the MPs of "insulting Turkishness and the Turkish state".

The Spanish also committed genocide on the Red Indians in South and Central America. Let's wait until it's their turn.

The German also committed genocide on millions of Jews, and Germany has accepted this. However, some Arab countries still deny it. Ha, ha, ha.

Erdogan does not refuse the fact of a million Armenians having been killed. Erdogan refuses the term "Genocide". However, the way he threatens German Members of Parliament is unacceptable. There he shows his disrespect for democracy, and that is why Turkey should NEVER become a member of the EU! Unless they remove the idiot from power, of course.

There is more to this than meets the eye.. The key here is the ujse of the word "Genocide" ...

The Turkish argument is that the word does not pply, since it came into being in 1943 ...

In earlier arguments , the Germans actually agreed with this

Turkish archives are open and beyond that Turkey did not offer to "open its archives". Turkey offered to establish a committee involving both Armenian and Turkish researchers to dig into the archives. Armenia refused that.

And question comes Why Armenian archives relating to the genocide remain closed while Turkish archives are open?

It seems that we're going backwards in time: first we had Pharaoh Sisi and now Sultan Erdogan.
