We have a number of roundabouts in Didim...now with traffic lights on them. Something that many locals still ignore as they had never seen traffic lights until last year.

Prior to installation of the lights the major road had right of way at roundabouts.

In Qatar, the vehicle on the roundabout has right of way.

I know from recent experience that there are lots of people out there driving without any licence at all, or with only their licence from back home, simply because the local exam is difficult to get through.

This guy has an international licence which is legal by United Nations agreement for a year.

If you are in that position of having only your own home country licence, please consider getting an American international licence from the local agent, who in this case is our own lovely kiarajane at gmail dot com

No problem browswerk and good luck.

If you can drive in Turkey you have to be good.

I live in Turkey and know how good you must be ;)

First prepare yourself and ignore the police when he shout so you don't feel nervous.

Make sure you don't knock over any pole.

Begin

Reverse 2 inches away from the pole in your right hand side.

When you don't see the first corner of the pole of the parking box covers by the part of the car,

take a full turn to the right.

Adjust your mirror on the left hand side down to see the white line,

then reverse slowly.

When you see the white line in the middle of the left back wheel,

take a full turn to the left

then move slowly then you will be inside the pocket parking.

I hope it helps!!!

Do unto others, what you want to do unto you!!!

If browswork thinks that he can trick his way on a driving test do we really want to see him on the roads driving?

if its parallel parking I can tell you what my driving instructor taught me:

drive up parallel to the car in front of the spot you want to park in, about a foot away from it.

reverse straight until you can see the boot of the other car through the back door window then turn the steering wheel and straighten it back up as you move.

when the back, driver side corner of your car is in line with the car behind you, turn the wheel the other way and viola!! you slide right in.
