Transfer of Vehicle Registration

I will be transferring the ownership of my car tomorrow. It is 2009 model. The new owner says I might have to take it for a test as part of the registration tramsfer? Is this a new thing?

I sold another 2009 car last month and had no problems at all transferring it.

If the car registration is valid you don't need to take it for the traffic department test, unless its not renewed
