I just signed up for this VPN service that allows you to "appear" to be located in the UK (or US or Canada) and hence you can then access all the 'On demand' UK TV programmes via their UK websites (i.e. BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Channel4 on demand) and it works brilliantly.
It basically costs £4.75 a month for a years subscription - or £6.50 if you pay monthly (we signed for a year for £57). I did a lot of research and I think this is the best option in terms of COST, QUALITY, and EASE OF SETUP (you just click on their "dialer" and it sets it all up for you automatically). The TV streams perfectly onto our flat screen from the laptop without any breaks in picture or sound. You can also download it in HD from the BBC and play that back, which is AMAZING QUALITY.

Once you have signed up for the VPN (if you decide to) you can then download "Zattoo" www.zattoo.com and you will be able to watch UK TV LIVE!!! or US TV with www.hulu.com or canadian TV.
I hope this might be useful to someone, please feel free to cut and paste the Lamnia link and pass it on.
Is there a way to access BBC iPlayer online outside of the UK? I have tried with BBC and ITV but it always says not available in your country. I read a couple of weeks ago in the Telegraph that BBC is planning to open up the iPlayer to subscribers worldwide but not for 3-5 years. Please let me know if you have found a way around it, thanks.
