Today - World Day Against Child Labour

Children shouldn't be forced to do the work of adults, they deserve their childhood while they still have it. Children should have fun instead of being forced to work for little money if any at all.

CHILDREN need to live their childhood and not be put to work because they are still only growing up and they need to experience the things that children experience. Children are supposed to live their life carefree and be able to enjoy the fun of everything. Working for money should be the LAST thing they should even be thinking about. Child labor needs to STOP!

You can make a differance in a child's life!

hotfil...yes i got your point they should learn to be independent little by little. theyshould be taught basic tasks. but i dont agree they should work at a very young age for the family's survival.

on the other hand, sometimes... it is good that some children chose to think and carry responsilities when they are young...

they tend to mature early... they tend to tackle life easily...

I know many kbabayans who are very responsible by age 13.

Sometimes, I credit the hardships we have because this has taught us the biggest lessons in life.

One of them is "What you reap, is what you sow."

Happy Philippine Independence day!

My favorite Children's right...

The Right to play.

hmmm... i don't mind people calling me a 6-yr old. I get the right to PLAY!!! mwahaha

----

Oh, bout the topic, poverty is the number 1 enemy. I know of children who chose to work because their parents are not able to do get jobs.

Since legitimate jobs does not allow underaged employees, they will do other menial jobs... that is all the time cruel and laborous. I have seen it with my own eyes... and it is not a pretty sight... i can save one, but there's just to many that needs to be saved...

i realized that you have to hit the source of the problem... it is unemployment...

Reason why people in the philippines don't get the right job? It's NOT because they are illiterate.

It is just because of the boom of population!

Too much people, not enough jobs.

Result... The Filipinos, they leave as soon as they can.

If i'm able to save money here, i shall come up with a brilliant legal business... and employ as many Filipino as I can.

Hope other countries would not do the same mistake. A Democratic country losing grip of the control over copulation.

And, losing some investors due to political whims.

However, tonight, I shall still rejoice anyway and tell God of the life that he grants me... and I hope that one day, Philippines will still rise from its ashes.

Today we can make a decision from our end...we will not employ any child labour in our life..as like maids or any category..

Poverty should be addressed inorder to solve this issue. Children should enjoy and play. They must be spared in thinking or carrying responsibilities because when they grow up these things become innate...

Child labour is a terrible blight on society. Can you or I, imagine our own 6/7 year old child working out in the sun or in a sweat shop?

The problem is very real in developing nations. However, the excuse used is that these children work to bring much needed money for the families to survive.

I thought minimum age for housemaids are 30, maybe thats only for Indian maids to get immigration clearance by govt. of India.

Wonder how they manage to get mousemaid visa for a 17 yr old girl.

Do this label applies to house maids too? There is a news in today's GT about 2 Syrian men and 2 Indonesian women jailed for having illicit relations. One of the Indonesian house maids is only 17, as stated in the news. Do they consider this age,17 as child?
