Three arrested for sorcery in Qatar
I would actually like more details on this story. Like what were the sorcerers doing and what does it mean "preying mainly on women" - like women were their customers or people they were doing sorcery on?
Also, how do you catch someone doing sorcery?
Clearly I find this story original and interesting.
Here's the article in the Gulf Times:

those things look like they've been taken out of the suitcase of a guy going to his hometown....the usual stuff...a mobile fone for his bro,a couple of shiny clothes for his mom, some hair accessories for his sister,a doll for his sister's daughter.....geez!how do we know what's been cast a spell over????

@ mintus LOL!!!..."he" just might come back eh?!...
Some freaky Harry Potter Vibe going on here. I saw 4 guys on broomsticks outside of Landmark,I am scared now is he cannot be named coming back to Qatar?
the government is just try to keep these fraud away from peope.
I does not meaning that you have the power to do so, but I it is mainly people how are trying to fool poeple of such thing, it is more like a fraud...
from articles in the press I find that credulous people are everywhere! Someone repeats some long standing truisms like are you unhappy, you are waiting for a turning point in your life (who is'nt?) What amazes me is that in an Islamic Country such things are believed. Islam preaches that such things are Haram, not to be believed yet why are there so many people waiting to be fooled!
It's typical in many cultures to take a lock of a baby's hair and preserve it. Would that be sorcery? Apparently astrology is frowned upon, but you can find horoscopes published in the newspapers here.
If Islam views people who practice it as "kufr" then what is the harm? Clearly the sorcerors are non-believers and their "victims" (assuming they are Muslimas) should be safe because their God is all-powerful.
Stories like this don't do much for Qatar's image as a modern, advanced country.
