Dear Teacher,

Thank you for your reponse. My contract doesnt mention any furniture allowemce.

My position is Internal Audit Sipervisor. is this salary range is good?

Please could you tell me what the difference between local schols and international schools concerning fees and studing language?

By ESL Teacher• 6 Sep 2006 20:20
ESL Teacher

The package isn't that bad, but you will definately be living in apartment if that's okay. But if I were you I'd try to up the basic salary by at least 2000QAR more. A 2 bedroom apt. in doha is going for 6000-6500QAR that's unfurnished. Does your contract give you a furniture allowance, that's important too. Otherwise you will spending quite a bit just to set up...and furniture is not cheap in doha.

All in all it depends on what your position is and etc. that will sometimes outline your salary.

Good Luck!

Well I was quite enjoying the Koby banter but I think she was just doing it for fun anyway.

Ok DG but it is more conscious neanderthalism. i.e. we behave like that for fun.

And fun it is.

Anyway tomorrow will be very civilised but you are going out with cat and the crew.

Giasi?

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 16:13

Koby well into your violent little rejections. Bit tired the "i would rather" chat for a clever person like you.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 16:12

But you are bright enough it seems to assume that all rugby players are thick and this despite being american (and you do use american spelling so that is probably true in your profile)and having limited contact with rugby players.

So what do you do Koby if not teach English?

Diplomatic corps? You strike me as the stereotypical american diplomat

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 16:10

Would rather tear out my own throat AKS, perhaps there are some other stupid girls on this site who will join you.

By AKS• 6 Sep 2006 16:09
AKS

Anyway y'all, I'm off home via the barbers to get my flowing locks cut. Super, see you tomorrow. Perhaps you too, Sammie? Koby, you're still welcome to join us despite you being rude to us and your lack of a sense of humour.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 16:08

Koby you are an english language teacher, a fairly old english language teacher (for english language teachers older than 25 means it is some kind of career choice rather than a see the world type affair). It is a one month long course for people who can't do other jobs.

By AKS• 6 Sep 2006 16:06

Hey, it's also about mine and Super's lack of intelligence too. Don't forget us

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 16:00

jeeze kobe time of the month or you always like this?

You clearly don't know a lot about rugby despite your obvious intelligence. I mean a 26-34 year old ESL teacher...bit of a high flyer!

There's no way she'll go fishing with you as you dropped the 'g'. Terrible spelling.

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:55

By AKS• 6 Sep 2006 15:51
AKS

I'll be at the Rugby Club for a bit but may be splitting my time with another party. A guy I work with is having his 25th birthday party so I'll be popping along to that at some point no doubt. See you at the club Sammie, if Super introduces us. Perhaps our American friend could come along and you can continue your discussion about vegetables. Where's DG when you need her to turn that sort of a conversation into some proper filth?!

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:51
Super7

Not with you Koby. Are you talking about root vegetables as in the way a girl with no friends in doha might like root vegetables or in another way?

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:50
Koby

I would rather rip my own arm off and beat myself with it than try and make small talk with a Barbie Doll.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:49

Yes AKS. Come to mine before rugby club for warm ups.

Koby you can come too and so can sammie then you can make friends

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:49

I think the sprout refers to me being green. I could be wrong though.

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:47

However Sammie, it is pretty obvious that you know more about vegetables than I do.

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:45

I know what a sprout is Sammie, I believe that it is your intelligence that is under scrutiny, not mine.

And sprout hmmmm. I see why Super7 is involved in this conversation.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:43
Super7

koby I will have you know that there is scarcely an argument that I am not a part of and I was involved with this one from the outset.

I see myself more as part of a coalition force to keep the peace but I unfortunately seem to be getting hit occasionally, in true american style, by friendly fire.

Cheer up!

By sammie1571• 6 Sep 2006 15:42

Also do not offend Super he is the website sprout!

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:42

Not so much critisizing her post Super7 as her brains, or lack of them.

By Koby• 6 Sep 2006 15:40
Koby

Well I'm using it better than you are Sammie, at least people understand what I am writing.

Super7, last time I checked you weren't part of this argument, so why don't you go brag to someone else.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:40

I don't have a problem Alexia. I was just confused by Sammie's inane blathering.

Is that so Super. Well anyone can say that on a website, doesn't mean its true.

Koby whats your problem exactly?

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:21

what better place to play around like that.

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 15:16

JJ's is great too. Free drinks for women every night except Thursday. All the boys drank for free too as we just got the girls to get the drinks in. One of the bouncers threatened to kick us out for drinking the girls drinks so we asked him how he knew we were and he kindly informed us they were served in different glasses. Cue us pooring the drinks into more manly glasses and free drinks for the rest of the evening. Free drinks and dumb bouncers, what a great place.

Yes thats the one, Trader Vics. It was really nice. Rock bottom is in the new district somewhere opposite Gulf Hotel which is quite horrible.

Koby why are you saying this? not all girls in Doha are blond and fat.

Koby the advantage of being this big is that when i cross the road and a car hits me from their bad driving i can smile as i will cause just as much damage to their car as i am well padded!

We got 2 nights in the Best Western and flights for just under 1000QR with QA Holidays at a time the flights were going for about 800QR. The main problem is dealing with QA Holidays who are spectacularly slow and inefficient. After spending nearly 2 hours in their offices I was ready to go Hulk on their asses! Best Western is by Super's flat and Gulf Hotel is quite close too if you fancy 5*.

Sammie AKS had an amazing deal on flights and hotel where he said that the cost of the package was about the same as just the flights so you may prefer to do something like that. AKS that's right isn't it?

You have to give the Bahrain franchise a try, just round the corner from Super's flat. We all went there for Friday brunch last weekend. All you can eat and drink for 10BD, including pork products. Plus they have a genius Filipino (I think) singer with a mullet. What's not to like. We stayed there for 3 1/2 hours

By Super7• 6 Sep 2006 14:35
