Theft
On 3rd April I was on an Etihad flight from Doha (change Abu Dhabi) flight to London Heathrow. The plane was almost empty at the back so I sept across 2 seats for most of the flights. My ipod was connected to my ears but i nodded off for about an hour. When I woke up it had gone! The cabin crew were absolutely amazing and spent ages dismantling the seat and checking the whole section. They had to conclude that it was stolen.
I am fairly sure I know who it was as this person looked very guilty when she passed me to go to the bathroom even before I had noticed it was gone. I apologise if I am wrong.
Anyway, my concern is that it had my Hotmail, Facebook and QL installed to access automatically in any wireless zone. I have now changed the passwords but hope that the person will not be able to pose as me. If you see me being rude or contraversial on QL therefore, it is not me but my thief.
don't be put off by Etihad, they were absolutely lovely to me on the way and were quite shocked to think that someone would do it. I am just grateful it wasn't my passport and that I was rich enough to have an ipod in the first place.
That is pretty bold theft right there. Why don't you just change the passwords to your accounts since you're already logged in now? If you've changed it, just ensure you also change your recovery email for when your lose your password to an email that is actually yours, and make sure to change your secret question too.
how in the hell can some one do that with such a sweet lady like you.
God bless you and hope nobody will misrepresent you....
do you have security keypad lock in ipods...that may help you to protect from unathourise use :)
There could be a chance it fell off...and some kids might have seen it and taken it....
....you could have at least put the iPod inside your pocket or something....
I have seen people doing that with iPhones leaving it around....its more costly than a laptop!!!
Check with Apple whether its possible to disable the device completely
No they didn't take the earplugs.
Second, I don't know what access they have.
Third, whilst I am not an interesting person, if I had the chance to read someones emails and other accounts, I probably would, wouldn't you?
must've been a good sleep if you didn't feel someone takeout the earplugs.
if you have changed your passwords, how do you think he can pose as you...and what vested interest would he have doing so...
drmana the airlines will not want to offend all the passengers for 1 iPod.
... iPods connect to the internet too.
U said ipod NOT an iphone?......
strange.......but was it not possible to search other passengers by the crew as you said there the plane was almost empty....
