1. Halal Qatar Festival (February 24 – March 4, 2017)

The theme of the festival centers around a distinct feature of our heritage, one that is drawn from deep within the deserts of Qatar - sheep and goat breeding.
The festival will present specific methods that help in breeding and raising sheep and will also showcase numerous traditional events along with educational and recreational activities.
Here is an opportunity to revive the Qatari heritage and relive their simple lives amidst the dunes, at Al-Mazain, Al-Mazad Auction, and sheep barns presentation at Katara.

2. Qumra 2017 (March 1 – March 8, 2017)

The Modern Masters and New Voices in Cinema include a showcase of films presented by Qumra Masters and critically acclaimed films funded by the Doha Film Institute.
Be the first in Qatar to watch some of 2016’s most acclaimed and award-winning movies at Qumra 2017 which include: Doga, Mimosas ad Tramontane (three Cannes 2016 wonders and awards winners) along with a diverse range of movie masterpieces by the masters of Qumra.
Qumra is an initiative that seeks to provide mentorship, nurturing, and hands-on development for filmmakers from Qatar and around the world. The primary motive of this international gathering of creative film professionals is to contribute to the development of emerging voices in cinema, with a special focus on first- and second-time filmmakers, alongside a series of screenings for Doha audiences featuring films by international masters and recipients of support from the Institute.

3. CHI Al Shaqab 2017 (March 2- March 4, 2017)
CHI (Concours Hippique International – International Equestrian Competition) is the official title awarded by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) to international equestrian competitions with three or more equine disciplines. Every year CHI AL SHAQAB welcomes the world top-ranking riders, regional and local riders in different equestrian disciplines: in 2017 these will be Jumping, Dressage and Para-Dressage.
CHI AL SHAQAB 2017 will not only draw the local and international horse world, it will also be a family event with activities for the general public. In addition to witnessing some of the highest quality equestrian riders in the world compete, visitors will have access to an international exhibition and multiple cultural and equine events. The spectator plaza will have vendors, food courts, cultural events, game zones and child-friendly areas.
This year Al Shaqab is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Al Shaqab has collected numerous accomplishments in its 25th years, among the most notable has been the creation and organization of CHI AL SHAQAB which is now in its 5th year.

5. “Watch Me Whip, Watch Me Nae Nae” by Rapper Silentó (March 2, 2017)

Silentó, the talented YouTube rapper, is all set to perform for the very first time in Qatar and will add to the list of international music heavyweights that have already graced the stage of the Crystal Lounge and Bar at W Doha Hotel and Residences.
The Atlanta-based American songwriter and producer exploded became an instant popstar in 2015 with his song “Watch Me Whip, Watch Me Nae Nae” which was uploaded on his YouTube channel with Bola da Producer. Within a week, the song had gained over 2.5 million views in the U.S. alone.

6. Video Games Live (March 4, 2017)

Created, produced and hosted by well-known game industry veteran and superstar Tommy Tallarico, top orchestras and choirs around the world perform along with exclusive synchronized video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, well known internet solo performers, electronic percussion, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.
