Special Night Out

Hi, I would like some suggestions please as it is my husbands 50th Birthday very soon and I would like to make it very special. Any ideas please........was thinking of nice romantic meal..and even staying over night at a nice hotel. As I am not in the country yet ....I arrive in 11 days .......I would like to know suggestions and can anyone reccommend any nice places to eat or nice hotels. Thanks
