JACKSON, Ky. (AP) — A man facing eviction over his hostile temper became enraged by how his wife cooked his eggs and killed her, his stepdaughter and three neighbors with a shotgun before shooting himself on Saturday.

Trooper Jody Sims of the Kentucky State Police said the man, Stanley Neace, 47, killed the five people in two mobile homes in rural eastern Kentucky around 11:30 a.m., then went to his home and shot himself.

Neighbors in the roadside mobile home park said Mr. Neace stormed across about seven lawns and fired dozens of shots.

Trooper Sims said that when the police arrived about an hour after the gunfire began, they heard a single gunshot and found Mr. Neace’s body on the porch of his trailer outside Jackson, about 90 miles southeast of Lexington.

Sherri Anne Robinson, a relative of two victims, said witnesses told her Mr. Neace became enraged about his breakfast.

Ms. Robinson said that when his wife fled to a neighbor’s trailer, Mr. Neace followed and shot her and the others. She said he allowed a young girl to flee.

“He just got mad at his wife for not making his breakfast right and he shot her,” she said.

The police said the victims were Mr. Neace’s wife, Sandra Neace, 54; her daughter Sandra Strong, 28; and their neighbors Dennis Turner, 31; Teresa Fugate, 30; and Tammy Kilborn, 40.

Ray Rastegar, Mr. Neace’s landlord, said he had begun evicting Mr. Neace because he had become increasingly hostile toward neighbors. “He was unpredictable,” Mr. Rastegar said. “Little things would set him off.”

I should say so.....

Anger is a natural emotion, the question is how you manage it. That guy is really nuts. This is very sad.

What a wacko...sad for his innocent victims but thank God he's gone too.. However I must add people in general should be careful of their temper. One can never underestimate the power of anger and rage. Its not about religion cos I know of pious men and women who have acted like devils when they were enraged beyond what they say was their limit. Which is why the Prophet advised the Muslims "Do not become angry"

Trailer Park, Kentucky Hooch and Shotguns make for a terrible mix.

It's true that sometimes minor things can set you off and tghat's why I think guns should be banned (another topic).

Lastly, I always wonder why these isiots kill people and then take their own lives. They are macho enough to kill in cold blood, but can't face the music if caught..

May the murdered rest in peace..

Yes, sometimes the jobs they did all their lifes affect their mental sanity! If there were previous signs, this man should have had treatment. Too late anyway - for him and his victims! :(

how sad

one of the judgment day signs in our religion that killing will spread to a degree that the killer doesn't know why he killed, and the victim why he murdered

we call it in arabic "Harj wal marj"

Lack of faith leads to lack of satisfaction and misery and it ends with unbalance mentality , and this lack could happen to all of us
