Margaret Thatcher once said "A world without nuclear weapons would be less stable and more dangerous for all of us.”

I vehemently disagree with her. IMHO, they are there to keep our defence industry going..

All Europe was in danger during that time. I dont understand why anybody still needs nukes, after Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobil. Isn't it enough?

Please be specific: American Government. I rule nothing and did not choose my birthplace. I did not attack Great Britain, I did not help the French against their enemies, I did not come too late for the Jews and the Roma's in WWII. I do not cower in my country and point fingers at other nationalities while wanting to bury my head in the sand. I look at an individual and do not clump them with their negative counterparts. I don't know the coat check woman personally that works at the palace in St. Petersburg. (I do know she is Russian, is she proud? Who knows. She is an individual not her goverment.)

Please, Government.

I'm sorry for you, vukpop. But imagine we weren't allowed to drink beer anymore because the hops in Germany was contaminated. So what's worse: bald and beer, or hairy and no beer?

O yes I remember that rainy day on May 1st 1986 when radioactive clouds came over our country. Our government was keeping in secret what happened so nobody knows. I remember my brother who was a baby and my sister who was six years old were playing outside. Thanks God we are OK, just bald:)

These countries must ask themselves a simple question..

Why is America being so benevolent in wanting to protect them?
