1. Alice in Wonderland Show (January 31 – February 8, 2017)

Festival Village returns to Doha, Qatar for the 2nd Season. Our Teatro will showcase international shows with Holographic Display, the first of its kind in Doha. Your children’s favorite character will come to life in a virtual 3D display without the need of special glasses. You and your family will go down the rabbit hole and explore the fantasy world of Wonderland with Alice. Enjoy the Mad tea-party with peculiar creatures and enjoy the Queen’s croquet. 2. Magical Festival Village (February 5 – April 30, 2017)

It’s fun for the entire family with the Magical Festival Village this year. Be spoilt for choice with an exciting array of pop-up shops ranging from clothing accessories, exquisite art, to artisan chocolate. A winter wonderland awaits with a wide range of family entertainment. Entry is free.

3. Last Shop Qatar ' A Brand New Tradition: Doha's Very First Shopping Festival (Last three days) (February 5, 2017 – February 7, 2017)

The Qatar Tourism Authority, in an effort to boost tourist inflow into the country, has announced the launch of a new shopping festival named ‘Shop Qatar.’
The event’s first edition, under the slogan ‘A Brand New Tradition,’ will run from January 7 to February 7 and will offer mega discounts on popular brands, cash prizes of up to QR4m and special offers on flights and hotel bookings.
The event will also boast of entertainment activities including Cats the Broadway musical, live music concerts and 15 stand-up comedy acts.
The festival, which aims to target regional visitors, will offer discounts of up to 50% on a range of consumer goods including clothes, electronics, cosmetics and accessories for men, women and children.
In a move to support local entrepreneurs, Shop Qatar will also feature local products designed by students of Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar and other local designers. They will be on display at a variety of pop-up stores throughout the participating malls.
Venue: Qatar, Ezdan Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Al Khor Mall, Lagoona Mall, Gulf Mall, Landmark, Dar Al Salam Mall, The Gate and The Pearl-Qatar will be a part of the celebrations.

4. Majed Al Mohandes Live in Doha (February 7, 2017)

Shop Qatar is featuring one of Arab music’s superstar – Majed Al Mohandes – in a concert at its closing ceremony. The Iraqi-Saudi singer whose success has been given the titles of ‘voice of the diamond’ and ‘engineer of the Arab song’ will take center stage at the Mall of Qatar’s Oasis after the final raffle draw.

5. Doha Film Institute Presents German Film Week! (February 2 – February 10, 2017)
In celebration of the Qatar Germany Year of Culture 2017, the Doha Film Institute, the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, and Qatar Museums are proud to present German Film Week, a curated series of eight Classic and Contemporary German Films Film critic Claus Löser will be on hand to present the films in the program. An addition, Mr. Loser will lead a free masterclass on “German Film History”.
