Shoddy Customer Service...
I am so angry, that I cannot typppe. :O(
What is the world coming to ?
Putting on my work suit this morning, I was shocked to notice a slight tear in the lapel of the jacket.
Straight away, I contacted my bespoke tailors - Mr. Burton of London - and complained.
They told me that since the suit was bought more than fifteen years ago, they can't and WON'T do anything..
Have you had similar bad experience with customer service ??
Suitings by Raymond...I would collar the man for crimes against tailoring;-)
I just got a call from a Mr. Raymond. Apparetntly he remembers the Raj and wants to help. Do you think its a stitch up ?
i wanted to be a tailor but all i could learn was how to cut pockets..
I appreciate your offer .... Anything silky with lace will suffice..
Apparently they do for the suits bought more than fifteen years ago. They deny service to guys with yellow teeth though.
i can donate.. =P
cheers
I really hope before the new year starts, Brit gets something to wear.. Garage sale, anyone?
stuff too old to use, i would like to wipe off the car with one!
S-Isale yes BritExpat's back is turning like a Bow so s_isale is spot on about the height thing!
smoke he is not. He has been losing height for the past few years, hence he needs to alter its length
Brit..You must pack the suit, fly business class and meet the management in person..
Brit what are you trying to say here that you are still in good shape since 15 years ago?
Britexpat Now that would not be such a good idea!
Do you think Its worth me writing to the store's management ?
Yes bought that Suit in 1990! When a mate of mine used to work in his summer holiday work there at the tender age of 18..:)
"God save the Queen...," no,no,no... I meant
"God save the QLers"
Actually, in my younger days , I wanted to be a Tailor..
But I just wasn't suited for it :O(
For some reason or the other I can now fit in to all my old clothes again.. Especially the Suit I bought from Burton!
Brit, are you getting shorter by the day?
Britex how did you guess?
15 years? haller.... and the tailor is from london? where is he now? does he need to come here in Qatar from London just to saw your suit??? ahahahahaha... good good good....
Luckily, I've found someone local to repair the jacket and shorten the trousers.
I just hope that he turns up.
a better quality tailor britexpat.
I used Greenwoods and after 30 years and 22 years respectively they are still going strong.
Is this the same suit that he was buried in ??
God rest His Soul..
and I thought this is one of the neverending thread about customer service issue here in Qatar :) LOL
hahahaha edifis....what the heck!! cool down dude...ill stitch it for you also
cheers
Yes I had a similar experience. I found my Grandfather's 80 year old suit from the cupboard. it was slightly worn out at the cuff. I found the tailors label..and checked their number from the directory. I called them up and demanded a free repair. They said they can't repair because the tailor died 50 years ago and the modern tailors can't sew old fashioned suits. I asked why? They said there will be a jacket-o-aberration which will may spoil their reputation! Imagine the impudence!!! I am trembling with rage now....wattado now!
jack, im kind enough to help the old guy. opps....did i say old guy??? i hope brit will not start bashing on me.
peace
Post lunch boredom and brain becoming flooded with the br---sh sense of humour.
Britexpat... dont give your remaining garments to stitch with Vic ... its freezing ... you might catch a cold ... ;)
Yawwnnnnn
nope. Mr. Burton personally flies down to fix my coats, even if it is only to sew in a loose button.
Its the Italian tailors that I get shoddy service from. Giorgio A. refuses to fix my 11 year old tux.
lol!
LOLzzzzzzzzz...You made my ...errmmm ... Afternoon :D
You must be kidding, the tailor who stitched the jacket must be in his grave... ;)
After such a long time since purchase this would be clasified as general wear and tear and not poor workmanship which would require follow up. I applaud you for staying in shape and able to fit in your suit after all these years. In general, I have found terrible customer service in this country. I have written remarks regarding poor service on restaurant bills, phoned managers of stores to complain and no one seems to care at all. I basically go out expecting the worst and am pleasantly surprised when I receive good service and made a point of bringing it to the managers attention as well.
Thanks..
Only a couple of years ago, I had to have the trousers altered because flares were no longer in vogue :O(
hmm..lemme stitch it for u
cheers
A suit with lifetime guarantee :)
15 years??? are you serious? :P
Shoddy service indeed!
