Sharing my recent experience with QP(Qatar Petroleum)

Well, I got the offer from QP and have just resigned from my current job! Inshallah planning to be in Qatar beginning of June. I am looking forward to living in Qatar, the process has been long and it requires a lot of patient, for the benefit of others, below is my time line:
A. Applied for Job, Oct 2014
B. Telephone Interview, Dec 2014
C. Site Interview, Feb 2015
D. Job Offer, Mar 2015
E. Visa, April 2015 (took only 2 weeks!)
F. Mobilization, June 2015.

From my experience, do not try to build your professional experience in the middle east, build it somewhere else and go to the ME to make a kill. You need to prepared to go to places where the average Eng. will not go.

Sir, if its not too much of a trouble for you, can you let me know what work you were doing previously?. How you entered the oil and gas industry. I recently graduated as mechanical engineer, and everywhere I try they're asking for experience. I am trying hard to apply to many oil companies, but I have no experience in oil industry and experience is a big issue.
Can you please let me know which company you started working first. How much experience you gained and how you applied to QP. Please advice me on where to start for gaining experience. I do not worry much about salary now. I just want to get a job in the industry and gain experience and understanding.
