Satellite TV in Qatar
Good morning,
Apologies for my last post, I didn't intend for my ugly mug to be strewn across the page.
Can anyone please inform me of the situation with satellite tv in Qatar? I have heard conflicting stories. Should I bring my Sky box from the UK? Most importantly can we get English football and cricket..??, maybe not so much the cricket, judging on the current state of disarray in England the team.
P.S Are there any Ipswich Town supporters in Doha, always gaurunteed to meet a the odd few on my travels.

You can get all the sport here, Showtime has rugby and from next August the Premiership, it also has the european tour golf.
For Football, you can get ART sports 1,2,3,4,5,6, and Prime sports, they show all the premiership matches, though some maybe delayed.
Also get fox sports on the ART network, it has all the cricket, including the upcoming world cup.
Any reputable satelitte company here will sought you out.
The full showtine package including movies and disney is about 45 pounds a month and for a year to ART sports with fox sports and sky news about 200 pounds for the year.
Showtime show the a championship match every week, usually the friday night game.
As for Ipswich fans not met any. If you like watching your matches sociably Garvey's shows all the matches on a south african sateliite network called sportsnet, (which you can get if you ask around).
I will cheer for Eng if they are playing against OZ. But Eng vs SL we have to split no choice.

Shall be there in about 6 weeks. Will be good to have someone to watch the cricket with. However I don't know if there will be much to cheer about if your an England supporter. I think Sri Lanka have a good chance. It's all about the big hitters if you want to compete with the Aussies.
