I am very much intrested in learning SALSA dance, is it possible in qatar??does any one know about salsa classes here,?

Salsa n Candela is a Salsa Group based in Qatar , founded in 2008 by Expats residing in the country.

The aim is to spread the Salsa culture and grow the Salsa scene in Doha.

Salsa n Candela performers are salseros/as who started as students 2 years ago.

Salsa n Candela organizes regular salsa nights ,events and workshops.

Salsa Parties:

Thursdays at Sharq Hotel-Dana retaurants

Sundays at Intercontinental Hotel-Paloma

Wednesdays at Intercontinental hotel-Lava lounge(Bueno Vista Socila Club night) Free Rueda Class during the night

Our classes schedule are as follow:

Marriott Hotel instructed by Melody:QAR 75/class for Non-Members and QAR 50 for Marriott Members

Beginners : Tuesday and Sunday 8-9pm

Intermediate/advanced: Tuesday and unday 9-10pm

Ramada Hotel instructed by Ebru and Ahmad :

(Adults 65QAR per class or 400 for 8 classes)

(Kids 55QAR per class or350 for 8 classes)

Saturday 3 – 4pm Salsa for kids (6 – 10 years old)

Saturday 4 – 5pm Salsa for kids (10 – 14 years old)

Sat 7 – 8pm & Wed 9-10 Salsa Intermediate

Sat 8 – 9pm ,Mond 9-10pm & Wed 8-9 pm Salsa Beginner

Monday 8 – 9pm Cha Cha Beginner

Fitness First – City Center (Membership Required)

Tuesday 8.30 – 9.30pm Salsa Beginner

Friday 5.30 – 6.30pm Salsa Beginner

Every Wednesday 6-7pm

Biography:

Melody started dancing Latin & Ballroom 10 years ago,soon later she became a judge and an active member in the Lebanese Dance Federation ,in 2005 she became one of the recognized salseras in Lebanon and the region.She performed with her partner nizar in many congresses and they were known by Naz and Nag.in 2008 she moved to Qatar and founded Salsa n Candela with the collaboration of the leading salseros in town.

Ebru began professional Latin & Ballroom dancing over 5 years ago and is a past member of the Turkish Dance Federation. Ebru began teaching Salsa and Cha Cha in 2009.

Ahmed began dancing Salsa over 4 years ago and has been teaching Salsa for the past year.

Ebru and Ahmed performed at and won the 2010 Qatar Salsa Cup (see photo above).

I spoke to the instructor at salsainqatar.

The requirement is that only couples can attend/join. Hence I am looking for a partner. I am a beginner so don't expect too much. I have always wanted to learn so if you would like to join me let me know ;)
