Salary increment

hi mariam and sanjeev thanks for the advice...i have mentioned this to him a couple of times (and i guess he was on the right mood) but unfortunately i couldn't get the percentage figure...due to some interruptions...

and i know some of the marketing staff are getting commissions but i dont know how much.

Lovinni, In business, specially when talking to a businessman and about making a close deal, this should be told as soon as posible, directly and no round around. Start by saying  something that get his attention first like, " i want to talk to you about a deal nearly closing. This deal is really a big one" then, follow it by pausing when you already caught up his attention, and say, " but sir, how much exactly i am getting if i close this deal?"

  My advise is , don't approach him if he is in the middle of a meeting and with other people. Go on start telling him, then cut it there by saying i will tell you all about later when you are not busy...

If they want/need you. they will offer you a FAT increment if not  either pack your things and go home or stay with your current pay.

This is a million dollar question; a question which a lot of people have tried to answer. Some did well and some did badly. This is because unfortunately, there is no right answer. There is no guaranteed method which will get you a raise. Do not send letter. Ask for an appointment and have it across the table. You may like to follow up the discussion with an email or formal request letter .
