i use to work in the office tower in the same building and let me tell you that it is really painful to see such a beautiful articraft demolished. it was very nice view and really the building was at par with any of the nicest buildings in the world. after all it use to be owned by Sheikh Faisal. really pity to see its fate.

Now why didn't we get to know that this was happening? Would have loved to see it in person. My main memory of Rydges is that this was where you could always find folks from the GCC enjoying certain liquid refreshments that would not normally be allowed. Think that this could be another reason why its no more. Always had to be (even more) careful of the swerving Landcruiser around Al Bidda.

Nic...Qatar is doing lot of Charity to help the starving countries...

Can you ask Bill Gates to stop wasting Food bcos the world is straving??

By Nic• 7 Feb 2010 08:50

So much unnecessary waste in this tiny state. It sure confirms how easy loads of money is poured out from the soil on a daily basis... meanwhile other countries are starving!
