Resignation not accepted...what to do?

I need advice.

I resigned 2 weeks ago but my boss is not accepting it.
I've only been with the company for 4 months.
I gave him 30 days notice.
I have a problem with my family back home (marriage is falling apart). I need to go home and fix it if I still can for the sake of the kids and of course for my family.

I cannot work properly anymore.

What shall I do?

i am sure that i will not make it emotionally if i stay..

Any good advice out there so i can go home?

Good day, why did u come up with resignation in the first instance? You would have requested for a leave instead.

My advice is that you call your boss and explain the true situation of things to him.If you have been in good understanding and rapport before now, you should not have any problem, if not, am sorry for you as anything can happen.

Just be in charge in anyway.

Well, they say "Action speaks louder than words".

There are million ways to get terminated. Try one of them.

The company will not only terminate you on the spot, but will also give you a full fare ticket and escort you till the Immigration Gate with full care.

I have a similar condition and wants to leave back for all but my employer is in India and i am working here for sponsor who has provided me the RP.

He is reluctant to my exit but my company in India has accepted my resignation how can i get the exit permit from the sponsor, i have already requested my company for it to do it with sponsor also i there some problem if i does not cancel the RP and leave. I heard that there is a rule sue to which you cannot enter any GCC country if the cancellation is not stamped.

Aj there already good advices given to you. What I can say is you have to be careful with your next moves/decisions. As I see it you will be in the losing end, so be very smart & careful because your sitaution might get worse by one wrong move you can make.

aj_oragon your marriage is more important than money. Submit an irrevocable resignation and talk to your boss explaining your predicament. Be ready to shoulder your ticket fare and other penalties that your company might ask from you. Whatever cost it will incur you is more than worth it to save your marriage. Goodluck.

since the boss already disapproved the resignation letter, he can apply for emergency leave at least.

In that way he can explain what is going on, and assure the boss that he is coming back.

its better for you to tell to your boss honestly what is happening, and I believe he will understand your situation.

Saeedkan is correct, your boss finds you suitable for your job, that is why he is having a hard time, or even already decided to keep you within the company.

I can suggest, apply for an EMERGENCY LEAVE, that way at least, you can assure your boss that you are coming back.

Once in the Philippines, way all your options and decide if you are coming back or not, but still THE BEST WAY IS TO COME BACK, of course, for you and for your family's good.

Definitely, your boss wants to keep you, so the best way is to assure him your coming back. In that way he will have peace and no worries.

personally (irrevocable) and have it stamped by your office or received by your boss. You need a copy by yourself! Submitting it thru e-mail is lessening your chance for it to be accepted. As I said above, sincerity is a factor and as suggested by many, talking to your boss truthfully may do the trick!

Stay at home. If you fail to show up at work he will sack you.

regarding probationary period and contract termination. Usually, there are provisions for terminating contract by either party.

The most important thing here is sincerity, and I hope the family problem you are mentioning is real. I read some of your past comments on some threads and I'm really having a second thought about your real intention.

Actually, it should have been a different story if you had not submitted a resignation letter but since you have already, my advice is, if you are still within the probationary period, submit a letter of termination for your contract or submit an irrevocable resignation stating your reasons. Then study the Qatar Labor Law as to what are the consequences of such actions. But do not abscond but wait 'til they accept your letter. MAke sure you have a receipt copy of your letter bearing the date it was pass and received by the company!

Why not to talk to your boss in person ang explain to him your current situation with your wife. Nobody can stop you from resigning if the reason is personal.
