Really great hamburgers

Was craving a really good burger - not the Hardees/burger king rot but something u can really sink your teeth into - real meat, guacamole, cheese whatever. Decided to try Fuddruckers because they also had a kids section. Ugh!! Pretty horrible. Where can one get a real beef, really great burger? Ideas please???

Thanks for the advice - guess i'll do the homemade thing and go out for the rest. Just wanted a decent relaxed place one could go with kids/babies without being choked on the secondary smoke and some scrumptious food. How about decent steaks? Also dodgy? Make it yourself again i guess!!

Getting harassed by the men whilst they were burping in my face from drinking too much beer...charming hey? Pinched on the a@#, and the atmosphere is horrible....just a pack of wild baboons.....if you ask me they should be locked in a cage! My animals behave better!

I agree with Scorpio, chains should be destroyed. What trouble did you have with garvies btw?

Sorry robtperk, but I hate all chains and frankly think they should all be destroyed...I know that sounds harsh but I will never and mean never expose my children to that rubbish...

The funny thing is I come from a western country where we have never heard of Hardees, Applebees, fuddruckers etc...but we have it here in Qatar....strange isn't it?

I know it's a chain, but try Hardee's Low-Carb burger. Its one of their big burgers but served without a bun. Instead of bread, they use iceberg lettuce.

Oh I've said 'never' to many things in Doha and haven't broken yet. These include McDeath, Murder King, City Center, Garvey's, The Aussie bar at Rydges, Qube....shall I continue?

Well, I kept hearing about the wonderful milkshakes at Johnny Rockets, so was expecting a real treat. I ordered a strawberry milkshake (expecting it to be real strawberries)...because yes that's what I qualify as a good milkshake. It was full of red syrup that was so sweet I thought my teeth were going to fall out. I was hyper for about 2 hours after that. I swear the syrup they use is 99.9% sugar...yuck!! Never again I say!

Not that I eat meat myself but I hear Fuddruckers is worse than eating a turd...I hear Bennigan's is ok...I agree with the other's, make it yourself...Johnny Rockets...yuck!...the milkshakes are like drinking pure sugar granules...oh and don't get me started on the syrup they use....yuck!

Home-made is best. I don't believe in any of these chains because I have serious doubts about the quality of their beef.

best one I have found so far is Johny Rockets, some may disagree however I have always found it to be the tastiest and most filling.

Johny Rockets is by Le Notre on Salwa road, on cholesterol corner (ramada signals)
