QAWS Volunteer meeting

Scarlett
By Scarlett

Hello/howdy/salam Aleikum.....
As we noticed a lot of our volunteers are back from their holiday and a lot of Emails came to us from people who would like to become a volunteer at the shelter,
we decided that it would be nice to have a Volunteers-evening so we can all introduce ourselves to the new volunteers and say hi again to the volunteers who came back to Doha....sooooooooooo....

We will have a Volunteers-evening on Tuesday the 16th of September at 7pm at "the Silver Cafe" , near Al Sadd football stadium.....
So if you would like to join us please let me know and you are always welcome to bring a friend along.....

We will show you our dvd and have a chat about what we do and what you could mean for our dogs/cats.......

We are in need of Volunteers for......

1)People who love to walk a dog....brush them.....give them a bath.....and most important make them feel loved again.....

2)People who would love to help us out with our cats.....as they need some love as much as the dogs do....

So if you are not a dog-person but a cat-person....we really would appreciate it if you could come down and socialize our cats.....

Hope to see you all on Tuesday!!!!

and a QLSG BBQ up there might generate some interest, at least will spread the word.

Children would love to see the animals.

Maybe sometime after your meeting, obviously after Ramadan.

Just an idea.

..at Darudes on Friday still stands, but will have to wait until I get back from holiday.

I miss dog-walking greatly!

Would love to come along on Tuesday night but won't be able to make it unfortunately as leave for Corfu the following morning.

Hope the meeting has a very successful outcome & you're inundated with volunteers.

Kind regards,

Torque 8-)

There is absolutely nothing to fear

&7pm or 7:30 is a perfect timing.

but never hurts to reinforce with a personal invite!

I was rather afraid of the timing with Ramadan..but we HAVE to get volunteers out to help...we are so short handed at the moment and wearing ourselves very thin...and the poor animals aren't getting all the attention they need from us humans...

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.

I'll do my best to ask ILQers.

Scarrrletttt.......... Ugh. I've really been wanting to do this. Like I said before, if you give me a time and place, I'll try to get there, but dang. It's hard in Ramadan. Too hard to get across town after Iftar, I think. Will there be one after Ramadan is over?

:-(
