Thank you for keeping the preview (for when I may have a knee jerk reaction to type something quite appalling!) and also letting us post without preview if that is preferred.
It's far more better than posting your comment & go edit it if you happened to see your fault. Like once and for all you can check it before posting. Especially if your posting with some image in it, I think you need to see if all your texts are on place along with your image attached (html, etc.)
I think it should be optional. I do have ADSl which is slow; so with the preview comment it makes it twice as long to post. Sometimes I cant be bothered. I would hate to think what it would be like for people on dial up!
Anyway, I assure you that many people don't even read the preview every time they post. I never do!
I'm on dial up in the UK, and server has cut off on me when I've been in preview but I only lost the post if connection cut when it was about to submit. Preview just seemed to wait until connection came back up! *scratches head in puzzlement*
So, now I do what I always do when I am on dial up and check how much time left before it cuts off before embarking on a post.
I take your point, but server reboots in 1 min, so I don't really miss much.
who is it on here who has the signature 'if you're looking for a problem you will probably find one' ;o)
at least spare a thought for the people using dial-up connection.
I know many have ADSL connection but there are also many users who use dial-up and if the spped is low understand the difficulties that they have to go through.
the 'spelling mistake' was meant as just an example of how a double post occurs! it wasn't meant to be the reason I would choose to keep the preview.
lol CYman!!!!
I dread to think how many times I would probably have either insulted or caused a fury on the forum if I had to explain myself in another language, other than my native English, due to how easy it is to get a word or a nuance wrong!
I could recount MANY times I got into hot water when trying to even SPEAK a different tongue, let alone spell it out on here!
Just imagine the response I would have got from some Arabic speakers in here if I had 'demanded pleasure' from them, instead of 'thanking them for the pleasure' a gift they had send had given me (as happened to me once in Saudi!). I used the 'imperative case' by mistake ... lmao
I spelling is a problem, I know it always is with me too, because I tend to rush type.......then use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, it has an inbuilt spell checker which underlines the word in red, and then when you right click it lets you select the correct spelling.
Too cool!
Keep up with the votes guys! :)

Jauntie, the preview button should be there for those who feel uncomfortable with their spelling mistakes or who want to count till ten before posting something unpleasant, but it should be optional. Personally, I don´t care about my spelling mistakes, this is a forum, not a university tesis...
other than the one I was 'born' with - I would be EXTREMELY grateful to that preview button.
Even CYman has occasionally referred to a 'threat' when he means 'thread' ! And his English is very good, But look at how different those two words are, hm?
the only time I found I double posted was when I 'thought' the post hadn't gone through and tried to alter a spelling mistake which then caused it to double post.
sometimes I have typed when angry/upset about something said - that preview gave me time to count to 10.
can't I have my own views? I just love that button. It's so nice! [preview comment] click, and you have the chance for second thoughts. Pleeeeaaaseee qatari keep it

It seems you have allowed both options.
I love it!

Are you married? :o)
although I wonder if you can put again the option "delete" to delete our old posts which no longer needed (especially on the classified ads section)?.
Lose it!
I for one will post less and less if it remains.

Now, optional is the key word.
