QATAR WORK PERMIT

i am a pakistani national and presently working in UAE. One Company from qatar offered me job and i accepted it. They advised me that visa is under process. I want to know how long it will take to get them visa. i AM A material coordinator and i send them my degree copy and passport copy. I do not have original degree with me now because i lost it in last oct. 05 earthqake in pakistan and i could not able to get duplicate yet due to lack of time. Is they are checking original degree upon arrival at qatar by immigration authoorities and during work permit process? please advise. thank you.

Thnak you for your reply e46me, please advise me the additional detials. While the visa is under process, company called me and informed me that " we have requested for your visa, so please advise your date so that we book your plane ticket for Doha"

My question is how they sure that they will get visa and asking me for date for booking plane ticket. Could you pelase check & advise.

I don't think the authorities are interested in your degree. Your company is a different matter. You can't set a time frame on getting a visa. It's varies for different people/companies.
