Qatar’s largest shopping and entertainment complex is ready to open its doors to the public on the first week of October.

The Grand Mall, located inside West End Park near Karwa Training Centre, has a total of 132,000 square feet of retail space, of which 103,000 square feet is occupied by the Grand Mall Hypermarket.

“The shopping complex will host the Grand Mall hypermarket, various leading jewellers, optical shops, mobile shops, fancy and gift shops, saloons, leading apparel brands, a food court and a kid’s play area,” Mohamed Jabir, group marketing head of UAE-based Regency Group told Arabian Business.

“The food court will have seven restaurants offering different international cuisines. Four cinema theatres are also set to open by mid-October adjacent to the hypermarket in the same entertainment complex. The cinemas will screen movies targeted at the Asian Community in Doha.”

In addition, there will be paved parking space to accommodate 3200 cars and 200 buses and the country’s first cricket stadium.

“The complex is open for mid income expatriate families and bachelors alike, as well as high income expatriates and Qataris. Since we are having a central purchase and warehousing system across GCC, we are able to get all merchandise at the best possible prices,” added Ashraf Cherakkal, regional director of the Grand Mall hypermarket.

Hmmm... there is the same brand of mall in Dubai , It is located in the worst part of Dubai (al quoz) and is clearly a labourer/low income mall.

Just looking at the building design and location you can be sure it wil be the same here.

So Euro and other western expat, don't expect anything from this mall...

Would there be anything else besides the normal out there like a restaurant with a bar or something like that so that the guys at Industrial can enjoy a fun meal on their weekend instead of coming all the way to Doha for a drink to quench their thirst
