Qatar Petroleum Interview Process

Hi,
I had a telephone interview with Qatar Petroleum in the first week of December for a Senior Staff position. The interview was short and the interviewer told me that he was happy and I was the person who he was looking for and he would advise the HR to hire me. He said it could take a long time for the HR to process.
I waited for a month and since I had not heard anything from them I called the hiring manager/intervier and he again said that everything was with the HR and could take 1-2 months!
So, now 7 weeks past from the interview and I am really not sure if this is normal QP HR recruitment processing time or I should consider the case closed!
I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.
How long did it took have you received any reply from QP. It has been 2 week now after my technical interview still not yet received any response what can be done.
@Grizzlybear, please kindly update us, did u eventually hear from HR and start working with QP? I see its over 3years.

Hi@ Grizzlybear, how this is not coming to late and I hope I get a response, I am currently having the same issue....I am waiting for HR to contact me now this is 8weeks now and the hiring manager forwarded my email of inquiry saying all the feedback has been sent to HR and it is HR who is to contact me for further correspondences but no response from HR.
Can anyone kindly help me understand if this time frame is normal

Wait dear as the hiring processes are time consuming. Meanwhile don't let go any other opportunity as this is just a hiring process with no guarantees!
