Qatar Airways Online Booking

Last week,I have tried 3 times to book online a round trip for me and my wife but in vain.
I ended being charged 3 times -around 7,500QR- without getting any confirmation.I went to QA main office and they found no transaction on my name, except the history of my 3 failed bookings.I complained, they said that I will get my money back within 2 weeks.I complained again and they oriented me to the sales dept located near the Mall, then they send me to the customer relations dept,I explained again what happened and they kindly provided me with the details of the failed transactions after 2 days (sent from their e-support dept in Oman).I sent these details to QNB e-banking dept to cancel the hanging transactions and got my money back within 10 minutes.
So let me tell you that even if it was a long way to make them understand my issue,I've always found courteous behavior from QA people.
I have taken around 8 economic long-haul flights with this company on a 2 years period, and I have nothing to complain about the cabin staff experience, though the tight seats on their A-330 and lack of IFE on some flights doesn't worth a 5 star ranking.
I recently had an 8hrs trip with Etihad which is a 4 star company, and I can rate their service slightly better than QA with a lower price(great IFE and nice leg room on the B777).
I will definitely fly with QA again.I have a flight next week on the B-777,will compare with Etihad.
By the way anybody knows why the e-support dept is in Oman?
One advice:if you didn't succeed getting confirmation while booking online the first time, don't try again...and this is true for all the online transactions (purchases,...)
Have a nice trip!

I'm not blaming QA,and I will not blame Qtel,or even QNB.I'm just telling what happened.

last week for a trip to Dubai for the Rugby 7s. Went through first time, no hassle. You may have actually had a computer problem, server issue (time out etc) or Q-Tel line problem. To blame QA solely is pushing it a bit.

Did you Google it first?

It shows how far Qatar Airways are behind when people can't even book online properly!!!

Even the worst airlines in the UK offer online CHECK-IN!!!!

In the UK you do everything online, in Qatar there is only Qatar Living!!!

So one of the best things about Qatar Airways is when you think you're making a 'booking' online, you're really just allowing them to take 7500Riyals?

But don't worry, because after a few trips to various offices and speaking to a handful of people at Qatar Airways and your bank, your money is returned back to you.

That's a 5-Star Airline in my book.
