Taxless money? Dude, wake up and smell the coffee.
No one here is offending hijabs and/or veils, so please don't put things out of context.
We may not have taxes but rents are way overpriced compared to the quality... no real possibilities of acquiring our own property and even if there is who wants when the law stipulates that expats are 3rd class citizens.
Nothing is FREE!
Don't expect love when the system was made to remind you every single day that you have, sooner or later, an expiration date stamped on your soul.
and what is the "punishment" actually for wearing "indecent" clothings? Community service? Stoning? deportation? life sentence?... uhhhmmm... just curious!
Im with you danzil.. I suggest we should all go on a "ding dong walk" .. demanding "freedom" for our ding dongs to be used anywhere we want.. this is going to resolve so many issues .. there wont be anymore rapes, sexual harassment or discriminations cases !!
And anyone knows not all laws will appeal or seem fair by everyone. However they are to be followed..period.
That said I just came back from shopping and witnessed at least two ladies who were violating the rules, and that too out in the open. So quite clearly it's not really a strict law.
Personally I must add I do find it quite unfair on Non Muslims being told what to wear. Kinda like telling them not to eat and drink in public in Ramadhan. And I feel that by imposing such regulations the chances of niqabs/hijabs/beards been banned increase as well. However that's just my opinion, and I can only assume the lawmakers must have some wisdom in why they do what they do and have plans as to how to counter any backlashes...at least I hope!
Whilst I agree that it would be better to have clear written guidelines / laws, I also find it amusing that many cannot comprehend what "modest dressing" means.
As mentioned before, you knew u were coming to Middle east..u know the culture would be differnt..you know all this when u accepted that job offer and the dollar sign came up on you eyes...
u surely didnt imagine Qatar or any other middle eastern nation to be a paradise was it...wats the point make a hue and cry now...deal with it or else use the new airport which will be ready soon and..
no offence at all at any particular indivdual, community or religious group..
I doubt whether the government would step in because it would go against much of what they are trying to portray - it would make them akin to saudi.
They are therefore using a different tack. They are using various avenues to send out signals to the expats and expecting people to come into line. Having said that, I beleive that it is only a very tiny minority which they are addressing.
QLers its just a matter of respecting the tradition of the country you are temporarily living in. for Muslim mom's they do not want their sons to see legs, shoulders and reveling flesh as for them its a temptation and its making them sin. for expats maybe its ok to wear these sexy revealing clothes in your country but you have to think that this is not your country and you are just here to benefit of Qatar's wealth and oil =) so pls be discreet and respect their rules and tradition, then if you cannot, better go back to your home country where waht you want to wear or wearing nothing at all is OK and still considered decent!
its just a matter of decency... just think to yourself is "not wearing bras out of my house decent?!" haha, then you'll understand the meaning of decency
But on the pearl, alcohol was taken away because the government stepped in and dealt with the problem.
I would feel much more comfortable about the dress code issue if it was government approved and government organised. I don't think we should be encouraging individual citizens to take it upon themselves to enforce their idea of the law. Where, in law, does it say that your knees must be covered?
I'm supportive of clear rules about what you can and cannot wear. I've never disagreed with that. But there are enough police and government officials in this country to handle the matter.
Vigilantism usually ends badly. Let's hope that we don't find clothing police staking out hotel lobbies, beaches, parks, the areas inside our compounds, gyms etc because they think that in their opinion people are dressing "illegally".
No offense guys. If the local community is really behind such a step they will get it done even all of the QLers are ranting on it. Do you guys know what happened to the restauarants in Pearl? No alcohol there becuase of one strong complaint from a Qatari.
ya right. What is you people's problem if women wear whatever they want. It's up to them. Why are you guys so worried. Well the women may be worried cos they cant do the same. They have to be all covered...so yes it is jealousy...UNDERSTOOD. The men......sorry to tell you guys...THEY ARE ALL LIARS. They love seeing a little/lots flesh. Gimmie a break. But yes they just need to say...."ahh so bad/how wrong/bad ladys"...because they cannot openly enjoy it....hHAHAHAA
No chota, I do not. Although the above mentioned sight was certainly something to behold, it was unpleasant enough to avert my eyes after a quick, not to be avoided glance.
Now , of course I am aware that staring is a well and widely practiced habit with some of the residents here...but as much as I advocate solidarity, this habit is not something I could ever adopt. I was just not brought up that way.
Yeah i was walking the other day in the pearl , and these three gurls are walking , wearing no bras and you can see their pokies and their breasts were jiggling as they were walking , they have no SHAME!
am sure everyone has their rights..people from western or eastern countries are welcome...but one needs to repect the rules and regulations in that place...
You guys need to stop bashing around people of other nationalties...everyone has their problems thats y they are hear after lots of sacrifice...
Who gave you the right to shout if women are oppressed here in the middle east or not..did u go around asking them, or did you do a poll...
Dont talk with out facts...one person was mentioning Qatar has the highest divorse rates...out of what...look at the poplution, just around 200,000...so if the divorse rates are high say 20%... does it matter compared to a 20 million population...which might have a 10% divorse rate..do your math
well if the women that are in the pearl , i see , eveyrtime we go there , wanted to be free , they shouldnt let their thongs show and their breasts , show , basically you can see her naked, walking , all that is covered is her private area , they are just walking around ,
if they wanted respect they would cover up and at least WEAR A BRA FOR GODS SAKE
I agree with Captain... Just because there might be dress code in place,y is this anti western...even in work place there might be a dress code ... so thats a problem is it???
If people apparantly from Europe are soooo against this dress code then y stay here and shout its oppression here, women have no rights...wat are u..some freedom fighters of women are you...u are welcome to leave...people in west weather muslims or from other religions went there coz they dont mind comprmising at certain points...but in fact the practcing muslims still do practice their religion where ever they are...
If you read the post...its a v polite request...y get so up tight about it...
You migrate to certain parts of the world, you need to respect thier practices, weathers its weird to u or not...otherwise stay at home...
Both our constitution and penal law is vague in defining what is indecency. While Sharia Law is considered in some part, it’s not the only form of legislation.
moza...indeed...yet, they do! What some people wear here can only be called :adventurous" , if one wants to be polite about it....
I saw a woman here once, in an abaya mind you, he butt was formed like a shelf..a cup of tea would have found ample place to stand on it...and the abaya was like a tight table cloth draped on it...I kid you not! It was a sight to behold!
Come to think of it...a plate with bisquits would have found its place on there too....
Abdulwasay that post is so ridiculous it is funny!
The reason you have more stable marriages is if the guy isn't happy he can simply marry another wife..
If the wife wants to divorce the guy, she will be outcast and no one will ever marry her again so hardly likely to happen..
It used to be socially unacceptable in the west to get divorced aswell, but people have woken up to the fact that is it possible to make mistakes so why should you spend your whole life being miserable as you married the wrong person
Hmm Western media trying impose the ways they think is right?
How about in the M.E. where if you criticise the leader or religion you could end up with the the death penalty!
Like that guy in Kuwait the other day for instance..
And on charity hmmmm? Well heres a list of the 10 most charitable nations from this report by the Charities Aid Foundation for 2011
marco u should know that this land belongs to muslims and ur earning ur bread from here and pointing at different nationalities doesnt make any sense, dont be a racist and start changing urself or else be ready to be kicked out.
chota_sanki: You are from India and off course you might be a Hindu, so please go back to your country and put the ban on hijab for rajhastani women who cover their head and sometimes face also, and also try to convince the government for to applying ban on beard tooo so that no sikh and hindu priest can have beards tooooooooo...
Thank you Captain! Finally I got an answer! Now, how about Skinnies? I hope I can wear them, otherwise I'd have to replace all my trousers.....and that would mean massive funding needed...is there, by any chance, a charity that helps with that? ;)
\I think there may be quite a few people who need to "readjust" their wardrobe......
Really?? How's introducing a dress code in a country means "West is all bad"or how is it related to west anyway.. and who said its westerns or non muslims who dress indecent in Qatar... I've seen many Asians, Arabs and Africans both Muslims and Non Muslims wearing indecent clothes in public. Yes, a good move by a Muslim country to introduce a dress-code (don't except freedom from a country who did not claim to give you any)
And yeah, similar restrictions are there for men too, i don't know about other places but we are not allowed to even enter any govt. organization wearing shorts etc. --- source: Personal experience
MARCNandos: Ironically only one group has most stable marraiges and families, only one group has least number of single parents, only one group is in forefront of charity, only one group has actually librated women, in the west only one group has least number of people in jails among migrants and so on....
Ironically there is one group who is waging Psychological warfare by controlling media, entertainment industry, news channels to impose the ways they thought is right ,and on the other hand there is one group which is just following their ways of life and others are getting offended only by seeing them , there is one group who let no stones unturned to make impose there laws and on other hand there is one group which is just just advising and guiding people to follow the theirs.
Compared to previous attempts, I think this initiative shows a nice gesture
Not only locals bothered by the upsurge of revealing clothes at public, also other Arab/Muslim communities. In fact , who started this in local newspaper is a report by an Egyptian journalist
Like Qatar sun commented in a previous thread, some have went too far…you can’t expect people here not have a backlash
This is not Dubai, nor will it ever be. A mere example is what happened to the pearl
People in the West wear what they want (including hijab) because they are supposed to be free. In Qatar they make no such claims of freedom so people observe a dress code.
It seems that people like you, who want to introduce dress codes in the West, are trying to be more like those in the Middle East.
Make up your mind Marco, you can't have it both ways, either you support freedom and live in the West or you support bigotry and live in the ME. Did you come to Qatar so that you could be with like minded people?
Xena, I would like to add something to my previous post:
Hey Sajmar!
If you accept, I am buying you a coffee this friday morning so let's meet at City Centre's main entrance and I'll show you what the guards will do with your religious beliefs.
Just a hint: my complexion is white european with blue eyes.
MarcoNandoz-01 : We also noticed a lot of headscarves, extremely long beards, and very long and dark clothing being worn freely in public places by descendants of the veiled people which includes Church Priests, Nuns who wears a headscarf and long clothes, Jewish monks who have the long beards and a cap , and the POPE who wears a long robe and off-course a Head cap.
Everybody in the west should also ban them and the only people permitted should be Nudist, Naturist,Satanist cults, hippies etc..
Actually I think they should go further and not let women out of the house. We all know women are a temptation to men to act like animals so even if they are covered its a temptation. (Like a wrapped chocolate). So the only solution for them is to stay at home or have women only shopping malls and taxis.
abdulwasay_1218 :Ironically only one group wants to force face veils, forced marriages honor killings the dehumanization and blatant murder of homosexuals the stoning and oppression of women
Only one group out of the many groups you mentioned are at the forefront of a psychological physical war with everybody including themselves and want to push their way of life on all the other groups and I think you know who I’m hinting at!
Those guys are nut jobs who continue to defame the West and say how corrupt etc it is.. All the time while enjoying the freedom of the West and living off the tax of all us hard working godless infidels!
Would love to see what would happen if they went back to their own countries and they did the same thing haha
Speaking of that can't wait for Abu Qatada ass to be kicked back to Jordan, we will see how much he hates the west then :-0
I think the OP on this thread has a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome..
Being an Indian national he is probably almost discriminated against daily....
And as many have commented why does this only target Women????
I recently made a comment to another Indian friend about Indian Muslims being the worse offenders when it comes to bashing the west and trying to convert everyone they come accross... My friend said she'd seen how bad they get too.
Its almost like they are trying to prove how muslim they are in the hope that they will gain something...
Its quite a chuckle really, since everyone knows trying to be more Qatari than Qataris actually gets you NOWHERE!!! Except eventually, deported....

If he wants to form his own party in the UK and win enough seats to form a government then he can pass laws because he has a mandate. I find it very unlikely the people of the UK would vote for their own oppresion but they will defend his right to say whatever nonesense he chooses to spout, unless he advocates violence against certain groups.
From what I have seen, there is a good approach behind this campaign, personally I don't think there is any offense behind it. What I am really concerned is that it only targets women but you can spot some males wearing tank tops inside shopping malls.
Now this one goes to the thread starter, Mr. Sajmarwab.
Next time you are posting something that it's been launched by a third-party/organization, please quote the source and don't hijack it!
Be reminded that your nationality is INDIAN. You will not be getting any special entitlements over any other thid country nationals simply by calling yourself a muslim.
turbohampster :Ironically it’s part of the Psychological Conquest of the West by the veiled people.
There are two types of Muslims living in the West. The first type is the highly educated well assimilated very articulate and contributing back into the society that made them the respected people they are. The second type of Muslims are the ones like the poster of this thread or like the nutjob Anjumin Rusdhi from the Islamic liberation front who two years ago was on BBC bragging about how he wants to see the Islamic banner flying on Buckingham palace and in 10 downing street. Such nutjobs who continue to freely and publicly discuss their plans to overthrow Western governments and replace Western law with bearded men and veiled women.
Now check this out turbohampster, this kind of seditious speech is ostensibly tolerated by the BBC under the umbrella of free speech freedom of expression/religion bullox!
Hence the West continues to be psychologically conquered by the de facto imposition of supremacist Islamists.
I have heard that they are targeting Aspire Park now. A friend told me that they will now stop people who are wearing their national dress from entering the Aspire Park. He was referring to security guys stopping people in Pakistani national clothes as well as the Guys with long shirts (kurta's) ..
And don't tell me I am talking rubbish... Just go to City Centre or Villagio before it was closed, any friday and see the amount of single asian workers not allowed in. While any single guy who looks Arabic or has white skin can freely enter..
And I'm European and allowed in but it still makes me very angry, so Im surprised you are defending this practice!!
… we only want them to assimilate and integrate in to the society they live in... It’s a matter of etiquette and class.... "
Yes I would agree with that statement
But the point he is making is you guys always say this in the M.E. and then completely ignore it when you are in the West because you have the freedom to do so..
Well its summer time and I’m starting to feel and I’m a man! let alone these poor guls who have to wear bras so that perverts like poster of this thread won't eat her with their eyes !besides bra straps in this crazy heat makes women’s skin very itchy. It’s an irritating feeling to have under your bra!
I think something like this would be good advice to the expats but I disagree on two things.
1. This is discriminatory and targets women
2. The statement that if you are on our land you are one of us is plainly wrong. Expats are constantly told you are not one of us and you are here temporarily. You cannot have it both ways.
Yeah i was walking the other day in the pearl , and these three gurls are walking , wearing no bras and you can see their pokies and their breasts were jiggling as they were walking , they have no SHAME!
It's good to have an idea of what is deemed appropriate wear..I myself have been surprised at the lack of clothing on some lately!..You have to be respectful of the country you have chosen to live in
We also noticed a lot of Nigabs, headscarves, Pakistani Shrwals, extremely long beards, and very long and dark clothing being worn freely in public places by descendants of the veiled people.
I don’t blame these foreigners as they come from a different culture and our government accepts them the way they are. That’s why everybody in west should rally to ban it!
We don’t want to interfere with anyone’s religion and force them to wear take off the Hejab … we only want them to assimilate and integrate in to the society they live in... It’s a matter of etiquette and class. We want to be able to go to public places without a lot of dark shadows all around us.
We noticed a lot of shorts, spaghetti straps, transparent and very tight clothing being worn freely in public places.
I don’t blame foreigners as they come from a different culture and they don’t know that it’s not acceptable… that’s why a group of ladies from different group of age gathered and decided to do something for Qatar.
We don’t want to interfere with anyone’s religion and force them to wear hijab … we only want modest clothing. It’s a matter of etiquette and class. We want to be able to go to public places without a lot of flesh around us.

MarcoNandoz-01 - LOL!
damselindistress: Abaya for life sentence!
and what is the "punishment" actually for wearing "indecent" clothings? Community service? Stoning? deportation? life sentence?... uhhhmmm... just curious!
Yes Bachus I hear It made the poster of this thread go in heat!
Jai Bra Jai Aunty i mean Jai Panty
so who wants to join my Braless paradse! Everybody take off your Bra and toss it up in the air like you don't care! :P
I find the sign offensive in how it exposes female flesh. It should banned or the fleshy parts blacked out with a marker.
well why is the ad targetting women , why cant men show some skin and its always women targeted , is it because they have more than two private parts?
Im with you danzil.. I suggest we should all go on a "ding dong walk" .. demanding "freedom" for our ding dongs to be used anywhere we want.. this is going to resolve so many issues .. there wont be anymore rapes, sexual harassment or discriminations cases !!
wearing and exposing isn't there a huge difference
ahahahahahaha ding dong part..
i would love to see bra less ladies..
i dint see any when i visited their..
FathimaH, right!
They just need to be more specific on what is appropriate and what is not.
And anyone knows not all laws will appeal or seem fair by everyone. However they are to be followed..period.

OMG...why does he want to show his thing???????? Weird!
I know , but this ad above is sexist.
cool down denzil b4 u become oooops
ROFL !
It's a good start. I just hope that consistency is a part of the educational campaign. I get confused so easily!
Mandi
Slutty walk parades should come to Doha. Viva Tank Tops Viva Bikini!
Whilst I agree that it would be better to have clear written guidelines / laws, I also find it amusing that many cannot comprehend what "modest dressing" means.
LethalArrow, the reason is simple: the more you get, the more you want! ;-)
I guess no one here really knows the reason behind the alcohol ban at the pearl? hummmmm.............

Brit with the mix messages that tiny Minority is growing in size day by day and the limits are being pushed every day!
I guess if they want to be really safe and protect their culture they need to do the following:
1. Shut the airport
2. No holidays in Europe during the summer
3. Block the internet 100%, no access
4. Block all international TV channels
5. Send all expats home
This way their sons will be safe from thinking about or seeing sin.
The reason its fine to wear such clothes i europe is because everyone has sex there , they are not sex hungry like qatar???
If qatar had more sex , then there wouldnt bwe such a law , you see these women with no bras , you get agitated and then you8 go sin ful acts!
QLers its just a matter of respecting the tradition of the country you are temporarily living in. for Muslim mom's they do not want their sons to see legs, shoulders and reveling flesh as for them its a temptation and its making them sin. for expats maybe its ok to wear these sexy revealing clothes in your country but you have to think that this is not your country and you are just here to benefit of Qatar's wealth and oil =) so pls be discreet and respect their rules and tradition, then if you cannot, better go back to your home country where waht you want to wear or wearing nothing at all is OK and still considered decent!
its just a matter of decency... just think to yourself is "not wearing bras out of my house decent?!" haha, then you'll understand the meaning of decency
hahaha ding dong
Yes I enjoyed lloooking it doesnt hurt to look at alll...........it makes you aroused? but at the same time , they should respect their fellow men .
I can walk around showing my ding dong ?
True enough Cherukkan.
But on the pearl, alcohol was taken away because the government stepped in and dealt with the problem.

Cherukkan .. Oh come on, where did you get this news from?? "A Strong complaint from a Qatari resulted in ban of alcohol in all Pearl restaurants"
NOM.. Whats a shelf butt .. excuse my innocence!! :(
No offense guys. If the local community is really behind such a step they will get it done even all of the QLers are ranting on it. Do you guys know what happened to the restauarants in Pearl? No alcohol there becuase of one strong complaint from a Qatari.
ok highness if u say so :P
chota, i can assure you...I do NOT want a shelf butt...! :0
NM enough to avert my eyes after a quick - u wanted it right, it was done on purpose
CL - for u anything is possible :) LOL
LOL.. Denzil.. they want to be naked and respectful.. how hard is that to understand? :P
NM u dont stare at them but their spare parts :/
Denzil, now there will be a lot of unusual traffic at the Pearl...:P
lol denzil

The Article 57 of the Qatar Constitutions says to respect the law. Now which law and what are the specifications?
next time try staring at men
well chota...it was so very prominent, one could not really avoid noticing it....to tell you the truth, I'd rather not have seen it.
I agree with Captain... Just because there might be dress code in place,y is this anti western...even in work place there might be a dress code ... so thats a problem is it???

Take off your rose tinted glasses dude and people might take you more seriously!
marco u should know that this land belongs to muslims and ur earning ur bread from here and pointing at different nationalities doesnt make any sense, dont be a racist and start changing urself or else be ready to be kicked out.
NOM.. No skinnies .. :P
Go readjust your wardrobe.. and let me know if you need my financial support ..
Damn, i thought Qatar was a rich country .. :D
Moza, I think the problem may be the protruding muffin top.....rather unsightly...sadly not an uncommon sight.
chota_sanki: You are from India and off course you might be a Hindu, so please go back to your country and put the ban on hijab for rajhastani women who cover their head and sometimes face also, and also try to convince the government for to applying ban on beard tooo so that no sikh and hindu priest can have beards tooooooooo...
Just think before what u say......
Mike, thing is, you need to mention SOAP, deodorant and washing powder....
What's wrong with no.3? Shoulders and knees are covered so it complies with the warning. So confusing.
Since the word "decency" is pretty broad, I believe we should start our own campaign and here is my idea:
"Holiness is cleanliness... go take a shower and put some clean clothes on!"
Thank you Captain! Finally I got an answer! Now, how about Skinnies? I hope I can wear them, otherwise I'd have to replace all my trousers.....and that would mean massive funding needed...is there, by any chance, a charity that helps with that? ;)
\I think there may be quite a few people who need to "readjust" their wardrobe......
shoulder to be covered - still great question can i wear short sleeves ? lol
Nomerici offcourse you can wear short sleeved T.shirts no problem whatsoever.
NOM: Yes, You can !!
not fighting its called dictatorship wear what they what anywhere and ban the hijab or niqab everywhere
Well, I just want to know if I can wear short sleeved t shirts, really.
MIKE SHAMROCK: Yes offcourse I know and fully agree with you but I am not talking about the tiny piece of land but as whole group of society.
So again, what are we fighting for here??
abdulwasay, did you know that Qatar's divorce rate is among the world's highest?
:D
I like the idea behind it too Genesis.
I am just a little confused, if public decency laws are LAWS then why is this not something that the government is handling?
Because if this is something that is of such importance to Qatar, surely there would be something official right?
Ultimately this poster merely tells us what SHOULD be covered. But why not tell us what, BY LAW, must be covered?
A mere example is what happened to the pearl
might be funny for those who cant afford
A guy with a gutra in a Porsche always looks funny!
huh... it seems that I need to buy a pair of knee pads and shoulder pads :D
Marco,
People in the West wear what they want (including hijab) because they are supposed to be free.
Lol Xena. And speaking English! Shouldn't they speak their own language and boycott English if they hate the west so much?
figured they r worse not bad !!!
If they were so against the west, they would want absolutely nothing to do with it...
But here they are.... surfing the internet on a computer, probably slurping a coke, while stuffing their faces with a Big Mac....
But the west is ALLLLL BADDDDD
Go figure!!!
You will get a gold star and many an offer to pin it to your lapel :o)
I wonder if some cheeky girls might wear skin tight hipster jeans and a low cut shirt that reveals cleavage but not shoulders?
abdulwasay_1218: Aww repeating yourself like a parrot. Must be so speechless right now (:
yes u will get a 5 STAR
ok, what ever....I give up. If they can't make a clear point, then I shall interpret at my understanding. simple as that.
Oh, and IF what I wear is deemed "decent" do I get a gold star?
Xena, I would like to add something to my previous post:
Hey Sajmar!
If you accept, I am buying you a coffee this friday morning so let's meet at City Centre's main entrance and I'll show you what the guards will do with your religious beliefs.
Just a hint: my complexion is white european with blue eyes.
Yes... YOU ARE ONE OF THEM!!! LOL!!!
Yes indeed Marco
Chota, ok fine, how about short sleeves?
shoulder to knees should be covered its mentioned above
Please see link and post a picture of yourself once suitably attired ..
Thank you in advance..
http://www.kaboodle.com/thanksgiving/best-pilgrim-lady-and-colonial-girl-dress-costumes.html
chota, what is modest to one, may not be modest to another.
something modest is it really hard to understand
I recently made a comment to another Indian friend about Indian Muslims being the worse offenders when it comes to bashing the west and trying to convert everyone they come accross... My friend said she'd seen how bad they get too.
Its almost like they are trying to prove how muslim they are in the hope that they will gain something...
Its quite a chuckle really, since everyone knows trying to be more Qatari than Qataris actually gets you NOWHERE!!! Except eventually, deported....
Can they please post a picture of what we ARE supposed to wear?
Didn't we have this discussion last week and the week before and the week before and the week before ??
MarcoNandoz-01 : We also noticed a lot of headscarves, extremely long beards, and very long and dark clothing being worn freely in public places by descendants of the veiled people which includes Church Priests, Nuns who wears a headscarf and long clothes, Jewish monks who have the long beards and a cap , and the POPE who wears a long robe and off-course a Head cap.

Is your name Najla Al-Mahmoud? I guess not.
turbohampster :Ironically it’s part of the Psychological Conquest of the West by the veiled people.
Hence the West continues to be psychologically conquered by the de facto imposition of supremacist Islamists.
good its becoming the good old clean qatar
I have heard that they are targeting Aspire Park now. A friend told me that they will now stop people who are wearing their national dress from entering the Aspire Park. He was referring to security guys stopping people in Pakistani national clothes as well as the Guys with long shirts (kurta's) ..
What next?
Well you probably go with your family then..
And don't tell me I am talking rubbish... Just go to City Centre or Villagio before it was closed, any friday and see the amount of single asian workers not allowed in. While any single guy who looks Arabic or has white skin can freely enter..
And I'm European and allowed in but it still makes me very angry, so Im surprised you are defending this practice!!
why is this only aimed at women - what about men in magnum PI shorts or string vests??
LOL well said Marco
If you are on this land you are one of us?????
haha so how come no foreigner is allowed to get citizenship, even if they were born here???
How come asians aren't allowed in the malls on a friday???
i m allowed in the mall on fridays
Samarjab
This is from your post
"
… we only want them to assimilate and integrate in to the society they live in... It’s a matter of etiquette and class.... "
Yes I would agree with that statement
But the point he is making is you guys always say this in the M.E. and then completely ignore it when you are in the West because you have the freedom to do so..
Well its summer time and I’m starting to feel and I’m a man! let alone these poor guls who have to wear bras so that perverts like poster of this thread won't eat her with their eyes !besides bra straps in this crazy heat makes women’s skin very itchy. It’s an irritating feeling to have under your bra!
This is from your post
"
… we only want them to assimilate and integrate in to the society they live in... It’s a matter of etiquette and class.... "
HOT HOT HOT...
I think something like this would be good advice to the expats but I disagree on two things.
1. This is discriminatory and targets women
2. The statement that if you are on our land you are one of us is plainly wrong. Expats are constantly told you are not one of us and you are here temporarily. You cannot have it both ways.
I can feel the heat.....
Yeah i was walking the other day in the pearl , and these three gurls are walking , wearing no bras and you can see their pokies and their breasts were jiggling as they were walking , they have no SHAME!
"If you are on this land then you are one of us" ......... when it suits us for you to be.
We want to be able to go to public places without a lot of flesh around us.
thank you sajmarhab ! pls follow n stop exposing
